Rein Light Flicker? How-To Fix

Although rare, if your Rein light is experiencing flicker it's most likely due to an improper connection between either the tailcap, light head or battery jack. Make sure to follow this exact order of operations and you'll be back in business. #shorts

What sequence for replacing the battery? Can I just remove the head and replace the battery without having to readjust the battery jack?

I have the Surefire legacy body and a Surefire tail cap and dual switch for a PEQ-15. My light is usually super dim for the first time I try to use it with the switch. If I unscrew my head a little bit and screw it back on, I usually get full light output. What’s the fix for this? My head chewed up the o-ring of my light after doing this a few times and now I need a new o-ring as well.

It seems I need to tighten the battery jack every halfish case of ammo or so...I'm guessing do to recoil....it's a 5.56 AR

Try adding a small drop of medium strength loktite to the battery jack threads and let it sit. It should not back off that easy. Keep in mind the battery jack does not need to be tight, just butted up against the battery.

MCH doesn't have the battery jack, but in general the rest is still relevant. Just make sure you're doing this in the exact sequence.

For sure, a $400 light should be all janky and require jacks to get it to work right. If not for this issue it'd surely be an $800 light. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤨

You're not understanding the benefits on the battery jack. Unlike other brands without it, the battery jack allows you to use protected and unprotected batteries with and without a button top. This allows the user a lot more rechargeable battery options than our competitors on top of retaining dual fuel compatibility with CR123s. The battery jack also prevents battery bounce when shooting. Battery bounce overtime leads to spring fatigue and your light flickering as you shoot. With a properly tensioned battery jack in the Rein it prevents this entirely.
