Hello here is a guide how to win every game with Reinhadt in ow2 check it out if u have any guestions u can ask in comments and my stream daily on: / lhcloudy27 #overwatch #overwatch2 #lhcloudy
@@lPeligrol these maps offer powerful high ground positions. Tank need to contest enemy DPS . I suppose Cloudy play Winston or DVA to dive them. Am I right Mister @lhcloudy ? Love your tutorial. My biggest mistake was to pill my back line crying "monkey on me... Help your support ...."
Personally, I love playing Rein on Dorado, but it’s just superstition because I win a lot when I play him on that map. I actually may start to change after this, thanks!
@@KingPongC327 I’ve found if I need to full hold on dorado I find the most success on rein bc you just camp the choke and wait for the payload to get there so you have extra cover
I watched this whole thing and it has transformed not just my gameplay, but my life as well. My wife loves me once again and i have found inner peace. I accept myself for who I am now. Thank you, lhcloudy 27.
The best thing I can say about getting better as Reinhardt, you need to demand respect from the entire enemy team. You have to become a gigachad and let them know just by how you play. Just remember though, for every godly Reinhardt is an even better support lurking in the shadows
@@TallnutEnjoyer The other guy has has a Mercy pocket while you have no heals at all. Now beat him. Oh yeah and he has his entire gang with him ready to jump you if you even slightly start to win.
@@centipedekid9824 As long as you stall the point and jump his backline, it'll be fine. If not, then you lose the game, but probably not because of your rein play.
Holy, great advice. I used to sit near my team and hold my shield till it broke. And then I kinda just threw some fire strikes here and there and not much else. Playing aggressive is so much more effective. I'm constantly keeping one or both of the enemy team's healers or dps out of the battle, and my team just melts their tank. The swing-fire strike technic is really effective too.
@@khaledm.1476 I’m a t500 Rein. The video is correct. A few things here and there I’dve done differently, but this is certainly a solid guide, not some ‘dumb gigachad energy guide’.
@@Deboned_butter I've made this comment when I just started playing ow and this was one of the first guides I watched so I didn't know anything. In retrospect cloudy has too much respect for his teammates/enemies since he's GM. In my silver matches killing a diving tank can happen in less than 10s since there's no coordination, that winston jumping in would have got massacred so there's no need to trade backlines and instead kill him then press our numbers advantage. Similarly if I dive into the zen/reaper/bastion comp that's a gg from the start, in fact most comps obliterate me if I dive in even with my teammates. Instead what cloudy didn't explain is wait till there's a bit of chaos and they're not all clumped up. Also diving an ana successfully pinning her then cancelling is one of the dumbest decisions ever. You're giving her way too many opportunities to sleep, in fact kiriko could have suzued that pin then ana sleeps you and you get massacred. Solo shatters are also extremely stupid because you're beating everyone in a 1v1 that isn't a flying hero so why waste shatter when many times in the match you can shatter 3/4 people. I've also learned to tone down the aggression, knowing when to back away and when to attack. Learning how to yoyo around enemy cooldowns (bastion's turret form, rammatra nemesis/ult) has been a very helpful strategy. More importantly he never mentions how you should move as rein, he kinda hints towards shield hopping but playing cover is also very important
@@khaledm.1476 Many things of course aren’t said, but what you are critiquing isn’t said is basically like critiquing a video on how to drive for not explaining what muscles to use to push the gas. Of course it won’t explain everything, but for what it does explain, it is very valuable. Again, he is a T500, so in most cases I would take his word for it in your shoes - since it’s clearly worked for him. And as a T500 myself, I approve this video as very valuable.
@@Deboned_butter That's fine, for me he spends too much time in the start explaining the absolute basics of the abilities but then not enough time on the fundamentals of positioning and movement. But obviously everyone can have their own opinion and we can agree to disagree
Honestly, I've seen a good amount of rien video guides, but you preach about being aggressive in a way that you become more useful is a tip that isn't ingrained in my head. Ty for this.
Thanks cloudy I have been waiting for a video like this I am so lost on tank in Overwatch 2 going to go into ranked now and try and apply these concepts
Got placed silver 4, first time having played tank and also competitive play in general. (Before watching video). Since watching the video I have already noticed a positive change on my gameplay. I play on Nintendo Switch with gyro controls on and it makes it not only easier to play on console but also more fun. This video has helped a lot with how I understand space and my game awareness. ❤
i know it has been 8 months since you posted this but i swear I thought I was the only person who used gyro on switch and now i feel i have found a friend.
Your rein playstyle made me appreciate playing him. Before i didn't enjoy playing him, after changing my playstyle hes become the most fun tank for me. Thanks for that 👍
commenting to summon algorithmic attn. cloudy's the realest of real ones. true best rein. based guide. actually explaining things in a way a gold scrub like me can comprehend. ty for this one.
what would u have done if that zen was on high ground with sojourn? Or if zen used melee and sojourn slowed you? I get the peel/dive decision making, but the issue i have with rein is not reaching targets when they're well positioned
this guide helped me so much like I literally went from barely finishing my 7 rank placements to gold 5 UPDATE hit diamond 3 with 70 hours total on rein never doubting mr. reinguy again Another update i finally hit masters on reinhardt. I am happy
I just entered comp (I usually play arcade for most of my 500hrs that I've played, whoops) and this makes so much sense. I definitely will have to try the swing fire strike swing combo. I did not think to mix them up. Also I notice cloudy plays from behind cover alot so I'm trying to play more this way as well. Hopefully this willl help me breech Bronze hell. Update: I've been kicking so much ass and getting potg. Time to get out of bronze hell now
i have a few questions, in case of a rein vs rein its useless to match the rein? im Diamond 3, i normally win against reins doing good shatters and all that stuff, but after watching the guide im confused.
My tips, figure out if you can get healed, decide if your the wall that stops the enemy supports from helping the enemy tank or if you can rush the supports, and always deny space. Most important, figure out if you are being pocketed and thank them to keep them pocketing (really i just realisei would be dead without them). Any tank without support in some way dies quickly, even against a tank focusing orisa my firestrikes are aimed at their supports to make it easier to eliminate them
so this guide works great against dive: dva/monkey/ball right? So how do I adjust (im a rein otp now) to other, more stationairy, tanks like Rein and Sigma? guess it will be in the tankmatchup video. subbed to not miss it
I play aggressive with rien and pin the dps or the healers but when I push or try get the point, when I do this my team are behind me, but my team do follow so I die because it's 1v5. What should I do? Any tips?
Nah they're both right. Balderich said protect your team, but a lot of the time protecting your team IS going crazy on their backline or squishy DPS and commanding attention/making space. Rein even says this in his voicelines.
mann i have so many games where my team just gets rocked by the enemy tank which makes me feel like i need to peel for them. you're the rein god tho i'll take your word for it lol i guess i'm just not swinging enough
Great Guide, the one thing I still sruggle with on rein is when I go onto their backline and their orisa/zarya/dva follows me and kills while my team watches me die. Maybe thats just bad situatiual awareness but let me know if you have tips for that.
His tips doenst work well in lower ranks for that very purpose. You go to the backline and your team accuses you of feeding instead of pushing with you, and the enemy team decide to hold hands because they got scared of your aggressivenees, so now they expect it and its gonna be a 1v5, while your team watches and do noyhing but flame you. In lower ranks, is a gamble to be aggresive. You will either disrupt the enemy team and have allies backing you up, or you throw the game. And if your mechanical skill isnt good, you'll be stuck having 50% winrate or lower.
@@squidwardknows5806 I get that Gibraltar's 1st or even 2nd point are not optimal for Rein but I feel point 3 is amazing for him! Dorado...yeah Rein is not too great but not completely useless.
@@-KFAD- You realize cloudy is top 10 tank.. He's playing against the best players of overwatch. Any disadvantage is huge and he can't do anything on those maps as rein. Sure if ur bronze - diamond you can still play him on those maps
Had a tm8 in ranked that yelled at me for ignoring the tank and going for DPS and supports. I proceeded to explain to them that that's literally how you win the battle and they continued to dismiss me like i didn't know what i was doing lol my tm8s just shoot tank and rack up dmg and say "ooo well i got all this DMG it's tank or supports" like ofc you're gonna have a bunch of DMG when you shoot the character designed to MITIGATE dmg lol dmg don't win games elims do
Hey cloudy - great guide for Rein. my only question is how to play when you cant rely on your backline to survive while you kill theirs - I often find that i successfully kill their backline but we lose anyways because whoever killed our backline just comes and kills me afterwards
Cloudy please post more videos. I would love to know how to beat a hog tbh it feels like he just solo ults me on cooldown. Amazing video m8 keep being the giga chad
Two tips: track his ult and don't shove yourself into a corner when he has ult. Also, pulse your shield and use the knockback and shield to direct yourself backwards to safety
Thank you Mr. Cloud. With this amazing educational information I was able to climb all the way to silver 5 from diamond 1 in one sitting. Thank you cloudy!
Which maps don’t you play rhein on? I’m low IQ so this was helpful to me. stay on point, charge away when my backline is dying, and miss firestrikes and win the game
I am a Plat Rein and I want to be aggresive but my team wants to play perfect overwatch soo they want me to be a shield bot and they blame me why am I always not shielding them.
I would love content on how to play rein on certain maps and parts of it where it is difficult to contest high ground (you have to walk a long way). My win rate is low on gibraltar (1st/2nd point), paraiso (1st (attack)/2nd point). dorado (2nd point) etc. where people just all sit high ground and I can't play aggro as I normally would (dive backline). My dps and supports end up blaming me, because they are losing the high ground battle on those sections of maps because the enemy is playing dva/monkey and dive on high ground. The only reason I still have a 59% win rate for rein in diamond is because my win rate on maps like king's row is very high (probs close to 70%) and very low on the maps mentioned above (below 40%). Often I find my self forced into playing a winston on those sections of the map and my winston win rate is 30%. If i could learn to play rein on those maps, my overall winrate would increase by a lot and I would be able to climb to masters.
On 2nd point of Dorado the only thing you can do is try to push the payload far enough so the enemy tank have to drop to contest it and your team can have a 4v4 while you stall the 5th player(or kill him) or go all the way to the left through the stairs and contest the high ground with your team. Otherwise just pray that your DPS pop the fuck off and kill everyone while you peel the supps like a beta rein 😢 Don't play Rein on Gibraltar if the enemy team have 2 or more brain cells(specially on 2nd point).
Even cloudy doesn't play Rein on Dorado and Gibraltar because of the importance of high ground Paradiso is a new map but I would argue you don't play Rein unless it's last point either and honestly? Route 66 you should skip Rein on 1st and 2nd as well.
this video changed my entire life ever since i started getting good on tank becaus eof reinhart, i finished my morgage, my family loves me again, my divorce got canceled and now i have a family with kids of 3. i got a promotion on my job too
