I realized this the last time I examined my conscience - I have had uncharitable thoughts about people who promote error and encourage evil - but I had failed to pray for their conversion. Isabel's right. That quote from Matthew is spot on.

I've only been Catholic for about 2 weeks, but I've been protestant for 20- odd years. I am not surprised what I see in what I can now call my Catholic brothers and sisters. Many of them have a relationship with their righteousness apart from Christ rather than living a life with grace in Christ. So many think that truth without compassion is a useful tool, as if beating someone over the head with facts ever made them feel like God was a God of compassion, grace, charity, and mercy. We forget that we are to be merciful, patient, and compassionate while showing the world the love of Christ.

As a Catholics, our mission is to teach and guide our brothers and sisters for the salvation of souls. We are accountable if we just keep silent especially to the young people who are planning to become transgendered. It is a mortal sin. Our Blessed Virgin Mary are appealing to us all to repent, be converted, make reparation, and to turn away from living in mortal sin. The sacraments especially the Sacraments of Reconciliation is instituted by Jesus Christ in the Holy Church for the Sanctification of our soul.

Just hearing practicing Catholics talk through this issue, even if no solution is given, is very helpful and brings the Lord's light to others. I need to have more of these kinds of talks with my fellow Catholic friends. God bless you both

As a parent with an adult child who has fallen into transgenderism I appreciate this so much. Daily I beg God to deliver him and I pray he will turn back to God and realize he’s loved and that he can only truly be himself in relationship with Jesus.
