I predominantly use a 3wt rod with 7x leader/tippet. It’s a bit finesse but a blast to use with the average size trout the Little Red produces now. If you have a 4wt or 5wt, those will do just fine fishing weighted flies under an indicator. 5x leader/tippet is fine to use too. Best of luck to you!

You can never go wrong fishing a sowbug near the bottom. Most of the trout I caught in the video were on Zebra Midges and Adams dry flies. I typically fish nymphs around size 16, seldom occasions do I fish a size 14. No larger than 5x tippet, I typically fish 7x tippet but that’s living life on the edge.
