Too bad you can't adopt her. You have taken very good care of her. I pray someone who adopts her will give her the good care you've given her.

Wow.. that is exactly what a cat where I live has. I brush her daily adding a mixture of squeezed fresh lemon and water to keep the fleas away. Then massage coconut oil on the sores. Only 2days now but seems to be helping! 🐾

My cat Draco has been back n forth to the vets so many times for almost 2 years & nothing works .. I decided to Google skin issues in cats myself, & Found out about atopic dermatitis. & then found ur video. Thank u so much ... I am going to try this. He has been in a cone for over a year cuz it's neverending scratching n ripping his hair out.... Once u take the cone off. He don't want to play, or do nothing. He just starts ripping his hair out. N scratching so bad that he takes all of the hair off the top of his head and it bleeds so bad. I bought him a body suit & He rips every part he can get to. So far the only thing that works but is sad for him is the cone. I can't wait to buy the stuff n try this out. I'm so tired of going in circles while he's suffering ❤❤❤❤ thanks again

I use flea tablets.and.antihistamines for a short while. I don't want to mess too much..but always make sure there's coconut oil..and salmon oil . My boys never like me to brush their teeth. Till last week I decided to use warm salt water..one of the Tom's has responded incredibly just after one rub of the gum. Not so enflamed..and he is far more relaxed. His bck teeth are bad though.. gingivitis and looks like they're ready to fall.out. ty for your hlping cat parents with learned tenacity ❤

My daughter has an all white cat who has been diagnosed as being allergic to almost every kind of food in varying degrees. These include meats, vegetables etc. Surprisingly most plants are on the non allergic list.The symptoms are sore spots on the face and neck area, not the rest of the body. Keeping her on a diet of the least allergic food is not showing any significant improvement. Any help out there please?

I use Proplis cream on the sore areas and or Colloidal silver. She loves to be out in the garden in all weathers being M.Coon so it keeps re- occurring. Can anyone tell me how treating the exterior of a cat helps an interior allergy? The skin allergy on Abby wasn’t from fleas, at least she did t say it was, so I’m assuming Abby’s allergy stemmed from something like food etc. It seems that treating the skin isn’t getting to the root issue.

My cat Lil Miss scratches behind her ears and sgakes her head, I am at the vet in panic every second day, first time they said it was a mild fungal infection, she was given ear drops, after 4 days she was miserable, I took her back they gave her better drops in the clinic's opinion, my beautiful, fun loving cat was so unhappy, in discomfort, 3 days later I went back, I demanded tests and samples, to be cultured fir microorganisms, but her ears were so very healthy, clean, there was no samples for collection . They sent me home after applying revelation, and 2 mire fir tge next 2 months. That was last night, I watch her almost every mov, I am working mostly from home now fir her sake, I completely stopped the ear drop, she seems a bit better today, bit sure if it was revelation treatment, or the calming plug in I started using, she didn't need the calming treatment, she loves us, it's my son and I, and no chaos, nois, we made every area she lives to suite her, I don't know what's wrong. I hope she continues to get better. If anyone has any advice, I would greatly appreciate it . We love her so so very much. I adopted her 6 weeks ago, her symptoms were visible to me about 10 days after adoption. I don't think she had been groomed ber, I took her fir general check up first then grooming. Very pick eater,but I order her food and she eats small meals, multiple times a,day Please help. God bless you all. And thank you for this great presentation, many great ideas🌹

Hi Sue, first I want to say that you sound like an amazing momma to Lil Miss, and she's so lucky to have you! I am glad to hear that she's feeling better and that the ears seem to be ok. I know ear problems in cats, like fungus or bacterial infections, can be very hard to clear up. The ear is such a complex network of canals and tiny organs, and it's hard to reach inside every spot with medicine. I think it sounds like you are doing exactly the right thing, follow the directions from the vet, and keep feeding her good healthy food like you are doing. I would suggest you add a probiotic supplement into her food, because healthy stomach bacteria can help keep other areas of the body healthy (even the brain!). Doing this can help prevent the fungal infection from coming back, too. How are things going now? I'm sorry it took me over a week to answer your question!

@SueSA2099 I know we love our fur babies I would always panic if something happens even the little things, I would also take them to another vet, and a holistic vet also, no one has perfect solution and none in us is perfect. Also do some research "Google" I'm always afraid to give them medicine because of the reaction, their body is so tiny. My cat has fungal filled in both ears I felt so bad, the vet gave him one shot Convenia antibiotic good for 2 weeks, he was like a zombie not himself, he was terrified, will not eat, always sneezing (7 to 9 continuous sneezing) non stop everyday for more than 2 weeks, he was skinny, it wore him out, he could not sleep because of the sneezing. I thought he was going to lost his head, so heart breaking to see him so worn out. I did a research but it did not say sneezing as side effects so I keep researching until one paw parent said it happened to his cat too. I called my vet told him about it but says it is not likely as Convenia antibiotic is widely prescribed by vets just like doctors widely prescribed steroids. Ever since then I have to research before I agree. I also know that cat does not tolerate on anaesthesia some of them come out of it and sometime don't especially in older cats, Afraid to give them natural flea stuff because sometimes the peppermint and Lavender cat has reaction to them so I do brush them using Flea brush then put organic unrefined coconut virgin oil expeller pressed I bought from Walmart for cooking but it was all I have at the time and I used it on my cat it paralyzed the fleas then I brush again, will never use any vet or store flea collar products either. Hope all your cats are well out there🙏ty😺❤

@KittenSchool
@KittenSchool 5 лет назад
Hi there, I do not have much experience with eczema in cats, but I would think that the same kinds of gentle bathing and chamomile tea rinses would help soothe the skin while the medication does it's job. Maybe a colloidal oatmeal rinse would help too? Here's a recipe you can make at home, and if kitty licks it off her skin it won't be harmful. Good luck and hope your kitty feels better soon! www.healthline.com/health/oatmeal-bath-for-eczema

Coconut oil works really fast! Within 24 hours of the first application, you'll see amazing results on the sores and obvious relief from itching. Using an eCollar is a must, though, to keep the cat from licking off the oil. Jasmine wears the eCollar for at least four hours after I put on the coconut oil, so the oil has time to be absorbed and do its magic.

Sounds to me like your kitten might've been feral or stray before being adopted. Feral kittens have a very strong survival instinct, which lasts a lifetime. Give her a safe place to hide, number one. Talk to her soothingly often. Keeping loud noises to a minimum will help calm her, although instinctually, she will always evade loud noises. Quick actions, or getting grabbed or poked are definite no-nos. The "playful kitten" personna will emerge by degrees as she grows to trust you and your environment.

Hello there I don't know if anyone is going to read this but please I need some help, this stray cat came and gave birth in our backyard and now the kittens are grown up so I want them to be domesticated and litter trained as well as trained not to rip up our plants but the problem is I don't know how, the social box is a great idea but 1) there are 6 of them not counting the mother 2) I don't have access to anything except a vet and even a vet I may or may not get. I've been feeding them and getting them used to me for a bit the mother let's me stroke her and stuff so I try to do that. I hand feed some of the skinnier ones more food but they don't really let me touch them with out cringing away while one of them hisses at me occasionally (but then again he always hisses at lunch time he's afraid of them stealing his food). Anyway they seem to be 6 to 8 weeks old they're pretty small but already have started climbing and I really really need help because I do want to keep them (at least the skinny ones who don't seem like they'll survive the second they leave) and I just don't know what to do it always seems like 2 steps forward and 1 step back (yes I know what I wrote) I honestly don't know what to do please help me

I know it’s 11 months later, so this finds you a bit late. I hope everything has turned out amazing and either the cats are doing well elsewhere or you’ve somehow managed to tame & train them. :) Do you not have a animal humane society near you? Or an ASPCA that would help you with live catches and then take them so they can all be spayed/neutered, immunized, and hopefully adopted at some point? Otherwise spayed/neutered & rereleased in a different area?

I have no tips my cat is going threw skin issues, I found her starving in a park took her home and decided to keep her she was about 8 months old, first 8 months were good no problems then she developed a serious case of dandruff never seen so much dandruff before on a cat it was all over the house and furniture, then it turned into scratching and licking till she was raw, took her to the vet she wore a cone for 6 weeks and had medicated baths, along with other medication, all good she healed, then cone came off and what seemed to be ok then she started the licking and scratching and I think she also gets nervous or skittish it causes her to scratch, so cone is back on again and medicated baths twice a week along with Welactin, with having 7 other cats I have no idea what she could be allergic too or how to stop her from scratching and causing hair loss, no fleas so it's not flea problem she is the only cat I have that has skin issues, she also has Cutaneous Horns on all her paw pads, and she makes a lot of black waxy stuff in her ears all the time, it's not ear mites had her tested 4 times already. very frustrating.

You've done a tremendous job with Abby! Can you tell me what the witch hazel helps with in particular? I've got an older kitty that I've been taking in for chiropractic adjustments to help with her lower back and hips.... it's helped a lot. But she's had this itching problem with her skin. She's inside only and I don't think we have any fleas currently. I was thinking it might be dust mites but maybe it's something else. She really doesn't have any bare skin as of late but for years (until recently) she'd almost always chew bare the skin in front of her tail. She can't quite reach that area currently. But if I lightly scratch her back I can pick up what almost feels like sand. The last couple days I've been trying to use combo of coconut oil and just today I started something new. There's a flea product that has rosemary, cedar wood and a couple other items in it made by Wondercide. But on her two warm washcloth baths today instead of directly spraying her with that stuff I instead sprayed it on the warm damp washcloth. While we're only talking a days worth of trying this it almost seems like there's less in my fingers when I lightly scratch her. And the few places where it almost feels like some kind of light scab (doesn't show up anything like what Abby had.... well there just finally seems to be less of it so I'd be interested in any thoughts you might have. Thank you so much for your help, time and helping Abby.

be careful about the wondercide. those oils you mention are toxic to cats and build up cumulative toxicity. some cats react really badly to them. If your cat gets ANY respiratory symptoms, discontinue use emmediately. Check with a flea comb. what feels like sand may be flea poop. :( tea is gentler than essential oils. you can make chamomile tea with maybe a bit of lavender flower and rosemary. I was doing well with the tea but as soon as i added coconut oil my cat's skin got way worse. going to try the witch hazel and gel, and maybe some aloe vera gel. oats are also soothing for skin stuff (i have eczema) so i'll add some oat straw to the tea and back off on the coconut oil. we are fighting fleas here so i have to be meticulous with the vacuuming.
