How to do the Relined Bite Method when doing a Full Arch Prep.
Once you prep many teeth, the relationship between the upper jaw to the lower is lost.
This method is used when you think you need a lot of posterior support to stabilise the joint.
In such a case you will do a mock-up and adjust it carefully ( or temporaries). Once that is worked out, you don’t want to change anything.
So take a full arch bite with the adjusted temporaries or mock-up.
Then prep a sextant. Reline the bite in this area.
Prep one side. Reline in this area.
Prep the other side. Reline this area.
Silicone bite material will bond to itself.
Be careful that the areas that you Reline do not overlap or this will cause an error.
