I have personally witnessed that in a dota 2 game mode long long ago so I'm not surprised, but I reached negative HP. You're basically immortal unless you have lifesteal sometimes you might end up stealing your own life and you die

this spike most likely became a fractal because even despite its small size, after it entered the hand (or something else), it did an infinite number of damage since the surface of the fractal is infinite from any point A to any point B, the exception is if point A and point B are in each other, this is explains why the spike can do an infinite number of damage, it's just a fractal spike

@@baronfox8829 That's not how fractal works. While fractal can grow infinitely, it's patterns also becomes smaller and smaller and never go beyond an (usually) measurable and calculable area.

in the IEEE-754 floating point representation there's a specific order of bits that represents infinity. when you print this as a float number you actually get "inf" like a string

this was actually quite interesting usually i can already tell before the video what will/should happen according to riot code logics, but the healing setting people to 0 health without killing actually was unexpected

When you proc lifesteal, you heal based on the damage you dealt. If you're hitting for a number approaching 0, I guess it heals you for 0. But if you somehow go past, it heals for negative, but lifesteal can't kill, so you go to 0? idk. just spitballing.

They deal no damage in the end because the float value was nan, which is NotANumber, so league most likely calculates it as 0 to avoid crashes. Also any arithmetic operation with a NaN number results in a NaN number, here causing the health of the enemies who heal from you to be set to 0, since armor is a part of the equation when calculating lifesteal from physical damage.

Hey, nice video there I don't know if this has been covered but you can somehow kill training dummies with Mordekaiser's Q while in ult I have a clip of this, as well as bug where the floor texture of the map disappeared, it occured while killing an infernal drake as well as the elemental map being switched to infernal. It even shows up on the game replay !

I had these two happen to me in the same practice tool game, though the dummy kill bug seems to happen with something relating to CC and horizon focus, for some reason it disables their inmunity or overrides it, so with morde you do that by CCing them with ult, but i did this too with zac, QE they die, or Ult and they die, it's weird but it's been in the game for a long time i'm pretty sure, since S11 likely, when horizon focus came out.

Since the code that the game is made by probably only stores 8bits for integer values and 16bits for float values, the number reaches o an overflow, which breaks the memory and affects the health and probably many other things.

Abut hp, with this amount of armor enemys dealt so much negative dmg that the heal they should have recived was "kiling" them, and since you cant kill your self in lol the game Just didnt knew what to do with someone that literaly has 0 hp. Or at least thats my guess

There were many Shop bugs lol, for example Blood Moon capsules were put at 1 BE for some short time some years ago due to an oversight and a few people were able to max out their account for 0$.

the shop is also forty-six undecillion times more simple than the game so less chance for any bug though once upon a time there was a bug with buying RP with mobile (I think it was with prepaid cards) and people got tens of thousands RP for like 3 eur as they simply didnt get charged

the number is 2 to the 31 2^31 because the variable assigned to armor was stored in a long and because the armor exceeded to storage capacity of the variable it overflowed causing a bug resulting in a loss of interaction

When you overflow a number it becomes a negitive. {or positive if it was Negitive} however since you have negitive defense. it would boost the damage. if that Damage also overflows it becomes a negitive again, Healing or doing 0 instead Lifesteal would also break, as your dealing a Negitive Number, it would hurt you instead it would be a case by case basis on what has stop gaps for negitive numbers and what doesn't

4.6x10^37 is "about"(at least as close as it can get) 14% of 3.4028237x10^38 which is the max non-infinite 32-bit float value so Taric's armor would have been at the absolute max value. About healing setting health to zero, I guess the armor value somehow got set to NaN and messed up anything that has to do with armor. Rell took NaN damage so Akali should heal NaN amount, making her new health NaN. That still doesn't explain why Rell didn't get her health set to NaN though. Or it's just Riot spaghetti and taking damage is not related to getting lifesteal from dealing damage.
