Did I need this reloading tool? No. You can say that about a lot of my reloading tools :-)
But, I like to tinker with new/different tools and I just couldn't pass this up as it was on sale @ 50% off. This trickler cost about $21 and my manual trickler from Lyman was about $13, so even if I didn't like this, I'm not taking a big hit.
My first thought was this is a bit cumbersome and quirky. I quickly changed my mind. After playing with the adjustment buttons, you can clearly see (and that's the part I like best - you can SEE the powder advancing down the tube unlike my manual trickler).
For the discount price, this is a no-brainer to pick up. Would I make the same recommendation at full price? Probably not. But for $21, can't beat this little gem.

The cable is made long so that you can remove the reservoir/tube part and use separately from the base unit. I use mine this way because I use a beam scale on an elevated shelf. The base unit stays on my bench.

If you are going to do a review of any piece of reloading equipment, it pays to take the time to figure it out first. It is clear from your commentary that you haven't figured out how to use it correctly. The speed control, 1 thru 10, only affects the 'variable' function. High is high (10) and low is low (1). The speed control has no effect whatsoever on these.

The wasn't a "review". If you read the description it's a "my first thought"...which means I'm just getting acquainted with this tool. Not even remotely pretending to know what I'm doing and the video shows me going through my thought process real time when trying this out. I jumped over to your channel to see how it's done right, but alas you have no videos of your own demonstrating the proper process of reviewing a product. We all have to learn at some point and my videos (and style) are my way of documenting that learning/doing/creating process. Nothing more, nothing less. You should give it a try...

I bet the rubber o ring is a fine adjustment for powder flow. Dandy products trickler has a plastic tube weight which slides up and down the tube.

Hey thanks for the video good sir. Been contemplating buying one of these units but didn't know if it would be worth my while.... I honestly prefer the touch and feel learning I've seen in this video and will probably just go ahead and buy one now..... Thanks again. MP

I'm happy with mine. If you can find them on "sale" or heavily discounted, even better!

The setting is just for variable. I find the best way to use it is variable at 5. Using it like this you have high, low, and right in the middle.

Makes sense, thanks.

Lol. Why did they make the cable so long. 😞

I didn't realize it during my video, but if you look @ the 13:30 mark, you'll see I have the trickler in 2 pieces...so the two components don't have to be together in one piece, you can have the trickler/powder away from the base (for whatever reason) instead of moving them all as one unit. Flexibility I guess.

@@ReLoadersBench I use it on an elevated platform with my scale. So it’s perfect to keep the control down by me but the dispenser up on the next tier

I just bought one I’m not impressed and considering returning it as it doesn’t dispense powder

How do you trickle unique? Unique up on it. Ha ha!

This electronic scale is terrible.. it "wants" to stay at 0.0 grains no matter what (0.0 at 9:13 -> ~50 kernels later at 9:50 is STILL 0.0 .. ridiculous!)
@ReLoadersBench
@ReLoadersBench 3 года назад
Ummm, maybe that's because @ 9:18 I stopped trickling to talk (and hadn't yet reached .1 grain) and then began trickling again @ 9:54ish and you see the responsiveness of the scale/trickler. Have a Snickers bar and actually watch (and when...as when my finger is actually on a button) what is happening. I'm sure you are happy with your scale(s) just as I am with mine. Don't forget to hit the dislike button on your way out.

You're using it with almost the worst example of powder to try this thing with too

That just means it's better than I thought it was and I got my $21's worth ;-)

@@ReLoadersBench Yessir, this thing is worth the retail price all day long, a dryer sheet helps with all of the static cling as well.
