FOr those of you wondering. Omega's appearance in ZX and ZX advent is due to the fact that Omega has the original Zero shell the one that hosted the Sigma virus, and the one that hosted the mother/dark elf afterwards, due to this he can not be fully killed he will remain ina rift between cyber space and reality rather than going into cyberspace fully like a normal reploid soul. the same thing happened when Omega returned to earth for the first time in Zero 3 after being banished from neo arcadia, a rift was created. this allowed you to fight phantom and collect, as well as use an infinite number of cyber elves, but back to Omega. Omega is able to survive do to this rift his existence is purely a memory recording of the fight he and zero had all those centuries ago, hence the reason the back round changes from the normal area N-1 and to the Area were the final battle was fought. Omega exists in soul within the biometal XO or biometal O. the one you fight is a corrupted data file in a place where time, space, cyberspace, and reality itself has been fractured completely. I hope this clarified things to those of you who ere wondering this.
The name of Zero has a lot of power behind it. You cannot multiply by Zero. Nor can you divide by Zero. If you add to Zero, you get more. If you subtract from Zero, you get less along with a negative. There is no better Zero, because nothing can replace the original.
@@tannerlion1994 it depends of wjat you consider to be the original or the clone. The Zero you play with has the fake body but it has Zero's "heart". Omega has the original body but it lacks the "heart".
Best of ironies is that Zero is Wily's original goal of making robots heroes by pushing its own limits way beyond through double and infinity gear systems. Yup he's full of ironies.
I thought the irony was that Omega was the original Zero and that the Zero you play as in the Z series is actually alot like Copy X? So technically Wily still lost.
Nah Zero's soul got moved into his new body out of his request and under orders of both Maverick Hunter HQ & group of researchers & scientists and yet they can't even removed that virus from his mind cuz it melded into his DNA soul permanently. So......Wily still wins the round by his son even with his new body cuz he just wanna use that part to laughed his ass at Weil for this part.
Honestly, given that Wily's goal towards the end of megaman felt more like "to defeat Light and Megaman" rather than "to surpass Light," I would say he still lost the moment X and Zero became allies.
If you also notice, Omega has the body of Zero, but not his heart. While the copy body is not really Zero, but has his heart. True Copy vs False Original.
Omega not having Zero's X series design is still the greatest missed opportunities in the history of the entire universe. Yes, I know it was stated that Zero's design change was purely an art style shift, but come on now! Imagine how grandiose it would've been! The story states that Omega is Zero's original body and heavily implies that Omega's ruthless, bloodthirsty personality is what Dr Wily had intended Zero to become from the very beginning, so it would've greatly enhanced the finality of the fight since Zero would literally be killing his old self, killing his accursed past and refusing to let it define him. Having Omega literally look like X series Zero would've been the perfect way to signify this. To quote Krennic: "We were on the verge of greatness. We were *this* close."
Agreed. It would have been more symbolic as well. A true testament that it's not enough to just build THE best robot out there, because it needed something more than just that. And that was what Dr Light did with Mega Man X. He let it run X tests in X years before it was fully complete to become the hero he was suppose to be. It ran tests on his morale over and over till it became fully complete, and knew that this was a must. Zero was woken to early and caused all this because of two things. There wasn't a program that run tests on his part along with the virus, and immediately woke up and nearly destroyed Sigma right at the spot. It's kind of sad and ironic that Sigma who was a hero back then, became the villain, and Zero who supposedly to become the greatest creation, actually became that thru a fluke in the virus and programming, and swapped the roles. Just later to be fighting against his original self design, when he was more like X. I think you get my point here, because there is SO much to write about this, include very interesting parts around it as well. ^_^
Its not just a art style shift but I can't explain it properly maybe this video can be more accurate than me ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vdT16NytLS4.html
ReploidREVO actually explains this. We see them get slowly upgraded as time goes on, with the biggest changes being x1 to x3 zero. Just because it was upgraded and made sleeker doesn't mean it's not the original body. Zero got a copy of the then upgraded body that was taken.
@@Jackattack359 Nah, he works for him. If he worked alongside him, considering his personality, he would probably treat him like he treated the Four(Three) Guardians and Wile would fear him a little bit at least.
Omega can hit through invincibility frame ( The frame after you take a hit ), hence his 7 hit combo is so devastating. Ofc cheater can't beat such power
This monster is what Dr.Wily wanted Zero to be originally before he turned "good" by the sigma virus so Dr.Weil saying Omega is the true and original Zero wasn't a lie. And this fight is where our Zero proves he is better than the evil he was meant to be, finds his reason in fighting for a cause and delivers a heartful conclusion to the X series for good. Zero 3 is undoubtedly the single greatest game of ALL MEGAMAN SERIES.
Not only is it a TRUE FAREWELL to the X series, but it's also a heartbreaking farewell to MegaMan X as well. But most importantly........ The satisfying end of Omega Zero is THE END of Dr. Wily's robots.
When you think about it... Omega's life is kinda sad. Granted he IS a psychopath, but really he doesn't get to do anything beyond what he is ordered to do. He's probably got several layers of obedience safeguards in his AI coding, while the actual AI aspect is pretty half assed(Wiel is NOT a good programmer). While the God Complex makes things interesting, he doesn't really have much of a true personality. Just think about it, he never gets the chance to be anything more, and he eventually dies. Really sad. Not as sad as Zero, but pretty high up there.
Boshwa I mean, think. VIllains are people, too. Someone, something, or some happening pushed them to an extreme. Even the son of Satan is born pure."Ware wa Messiah nari! Hahahaha!"Maybe he really was a good guy. But Weil got to him, Zero fucked him up, and Vent/Aile finished the job. He never got to really prove that he was the savior that he said he was.Post script: I edited this thing like seven times to get bold-faced on the quote, but it simply didn't work, so FML.
We would never know until Capcom gives us some aswers about the end of Maverick Wars and the whole Elf Wars. But the point of my comment was that this song is so awesome even Sigma would like it. Meh, it's only a joke.
Uriel Design I doubt Capcom will ever give us answers about that. Heck, we're still waiting for answers about the 'Cataclysm' that wiped out the classic cast, the only thing I've heard about it recently was that it wasn't caused by Wily awakening Zero.
תומר אילן Technically since Omega is just Zero's original body carrying Zero's original midset (The one Wily created him with). Yeah, We see Sigma and Omega fight in X4
In my opinion, I think the Megaman Series or at least Megaman Zero series should have an anime adaptation. I think it's a bit difficult to adapt but with the right people and animation studio this will work out very well Plus these soundtracks like "Cannon Ball", "Esperanto", "Freesia" and "Falling Down" playing while watching the anime xD And, of course, don't forget the ending in Megaman Zero 4 (though a part of me still wishes they should change it if it becomes animated)
I love Omega, he's pretty much "The original Zero" in more ways than one. If Dr Wily was successful in controlling Zero without the need for the maverick virus then Omega would have been the result of that.
Everyone look at it this way ok... Zero's original body which is in the hands of Dr. Weil, was recreated for Omega and brought to its fullest potential, the kind that back in the classic Megaman series is what Dr.Wily wanted in order to kill Megaman, but that never happened obviously Zero himself is using his makeshift body that X and them had to make for Zero originally to fight Omega during the Elf wars, when Ciel finds him and his body(whats left of it) in the capsule she repairs it using the cyber elf
[Spoilers] This battle is just... AWESOME!! Knowing that you're just a fake and you're gonna fight your original... OMG! It's perfect. Fight the same reploid that destroyed Vile, Sigma, and even Lumine it's just... INCREDIBLE. You're not just fighting YOU, but fighting the one that you saw and probably played as in MMX4, X5, X6, X7, and X8, and with this AWESOME OST!! This battle finished the game perfectly, and is far more awesome than the idea of Weil, for me.
X even says at the final battle that you are the real Zero. Also if i remember right (dont quote me on this) Ciel says that the 400+ year deactivation caused memory fragmentation
This and the gba version always make me cry because it brings me flashbacks to one of the saddest moments in video game history. The death of Megaman X one of my favorite video game characters of all time. R.I.P Megaman X.......
Zero: why do you even trust me so much? I have no memories of myself, I'm no hero, I'm not even sure the real zero. Me: your the hero we need, now more than ever. You've already proven that to ciel a long time ago. Zero: and even if I wasn't the real one? What then? Me: ...to us, your the zero we want, the zero we needed. *digging his helmet into a grave* Your the real zero in our eyes ... *starts carving into the grave* _Farewell zero,_ _Instead of your power being used for destruction; you chose in our_ _darkest hour to be a hero_
It's not really forced. Despite the fact that all Omega does is grunt and speak like a dumb brute, behind that, he's a psychotic and selfish Reploid. You know that flashblack scene from X4 where Sigma fights a Maverick Zero? That's exactly what Omega is like, pure madness and evil (except that he isn't Zero himself, and Omega actually obeys his master, where as Zero at the time killed anything around him, be it friend or foe)
VYNLT Late response, sorry. I’m not talking as in context, it sounds like the voice actor was forcing a laugh. A truly manical sounding voice would break into a natural laugh or cackle without having to reaaaally try.
X VS Zero is just as amazing, but I think Cannon Ball is truly the king of all boss themes in Mega Man. It's filled with a lot of emotion - sadness, anger and even perhaps despair.
Omega: Oh, you're approaching me? Instead of running away your coming right to me? Even though Weil, told you the secret of your identity, like a hunter scrambling to finish his mission until the last moment before he dies? Zero: I can't beat the shit out you without getting closer. Omega: Oh ho! Then come as close as you like. *Cannonball starts playing* Omega: *uses 7-hit combo* MUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDAMUDA Zero: *spams triple slash* ORAORAORAORAORAORAORA
I would very much like to have Zero series Zero in Smash Ultimate. His stage would be the final battle from Zero 3 with falling debris as a hazard. It should include the entirely of the mythos album and every version of Cannon Ball. Oh well, better luck next game
Sorry, he's been replaced by peach 2.0, Simon Belmont 2.0, a plant and the 64266375364th FE character (who is btw a terrible one) instead Oh well, at least we got Steve, Joker, Kazuya, Sora and Sephiroth...
One of the best final bosses in the Zero series in my opinion, I mean fighting your self, and twice if you count ZX and I know it isn't zero but who cares! still awesome right?!
wish X was playable and actually mature. a whole century later and he's still whining about destroying robots who are insane and incapable of being saved
@@13thseeker73 Doesn't X himself basically say he willingly abandoned his body and became a Cyber Elf because he was afraid he was becoming numb to the constant wars and on his way to becoming just like Copy X?
@@AxeCrazyAutobot late reply but I don’t think that’s why he did it. I think he did it because there was no other real option, and because, well, he’s the only “hero” of the story absent of zero. He was numb to all the fighting and was tired of it all, but I don’t think he was like all depressed doing it. It seems in character to me at least. He wasn’t afraid of becoming like copy x because he wasn’t created at the time. If you mean he was afraid of becoming a dictator, I don’t think the original x would have. The original x was stated to have been a fair and good leader when he was elected, and they’ve never mentioned anything to the contrary as far as I’m aware.
7:16 To me, it sounds like the Guitar and Synth Keyboard are fighting each other. One an ancient instrument admired by many, the other being a newer instrument capable of impersonating so many other instruments. Intentional? Or am I just drunk?
Omega Zero is definitely the toughest boss I have ever faced in any Megaman game, makes you appreciate having Zero as a playable character, because as foe, he is a MONSTER!
Simply awesome. I was looking for a remaster of this song that sounded kinda metal while keeping its original technological sound intact... really nice job C:
And the fact that he singlehandedly defeated a God of Destruction on his own with no help proves that Zero's one the most badass & greatest Maverick Hunters of all time.
THIS IS THE THEME FOR WHEN YOU'RE BATTLING ONE OF ENTIRE FRANCHISE'S STRONGEST AND MOST EVIL ROBOTS EVER CREATED!!!! AND THIS THEME MAKES THE BATTLE EVEN MORE SATISFYING AND INTENSE!!!!!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
With the recent release of the Zero/ZX collection on Switch, I'm still hoping for MMZ Zero to be added as a new fighter for Smash Bros. Ultimate. If he does, this track better be included along with an Omega Zero skin! I'd probably start almost every match confusing the hell out of my friends by saying "WARE WA MESSIAH NARI! HAHAHAHA!"
Probably in a future dlc. Since Mario Kart 8 got more DLC after 5 years being on the Switch, Smash can do the same with enough time. Plus I don’t see how can you surpass Smash Ultimate after all the DLCs
@@alexanderartaza2173 Yeah but I was saying in the future. Maybe 5-10 years since Smash Ultimate is so big and probably can’t be topped by another Smash entry, they will probably just add more DLCs into it. MK8 on Switch got DLC 5 years after being released because they want the sales number to keep going up.
When first played MMZ collection on the DS and reached this point... Me: I finally beat the final boss. Oh more cutscene. *Omega Zero appears* What no way... Original Zero? *Cannonball plays* Oh shit... Yup he doesn't look like the original Zero but he sure fights like him... Kinda epic though...
Zero: It's over, Omega! I will destroy you right here and right now! Omega: Hahahaha! This is only the beggining! When I'm done with you and your little friends, there will be nothing left! Zero: We'll se about that. Omega: Come at me! Ware wa messiah nari! Hahahaha!
I actually remember this well, on Zero 3 I can literally do this entire fight with the Shield and not get hit once! It takes some serious skill to do this I didn't think I could do it tbh, but I did! All the fights in the final battle with the Shield and no damage! I should record that sometime!
ya know what's funny, Dr. Weil says omega is the one true zero and in a way he's right, because the zero we all know was never the original zero to begin with Dr Wily always intended zero to be awakened zero from X5, the perfect weapon with which he would exact his revenge on humanity, that is what zero was intended to be, what he was supposed to be, the only reason he has the personality he's known for is (from what I've heard) because of an error caused by the maverick virus, all Dr. Weil did was take zero's original body, and simply give it a personality like the one it was always intended to have, the personality of awakened zero. so TLDR, omega is awakened zero which is what Dr. Wily intended zero to be from the start, making omega the original zero from that perspective
Oh my god I love the remastered version! They even had Omega say his catchphrase in the beginning!! Gods I'll miss this game so much... Q.Q Rest In Awesomeness Megaman!
As usual, themes like this in megaman are not the same without either the energy bar filling up for the original megaman games or for this case the warning siren
Riiiiiiip (SSBU has been out for about six months at the time of writing this, he’s an assist trophy, SSBU is likely the last game of the series, I don’t think he’s ever making it in unless there’s a sixth game.)
OMG, I JUST REALIZED, OMEGA *IS* THE REAL ZERO! WHEN ZERO'S CONSCIENCE WAS EXTRACTED TO ANOTHER BODY, THE MURDEROUS AND BLOODY PERSONA OF THE AWAKENED ZERO REMAINED, ALL VILE(WEIL) HAD TO DO WAS TO INSTALL SOFTWARE TO MAKE AWAKENED(THE PERSONA) THE MAIN OPERATING SYSTEM(soul?)!
duh. In the game Weil already said that. He claimed that he didnt do anything, Zero already a "Blood-Thirsty God of Destruction" and all he did was "draw out his full power"
Omega is not Zero. Weil created Omega's conciousness using Zero's real body as a base, but the 2 are not the same person. I will admit though, there are a lot of similarities between Omega's personality, and Zero's destined personality before Sigma knocked some sense into him (aka the one from that flashback in X4 where all he knew was pure madness and evil)
so hyped to hear cannon ball in zero/zx legacy collection............ i might actually die on purpose once or twice in this fight just for the sake of the song
