PP, I started watching your play 10 years ago, and made a combo video of your marth after watching nearly every tournament set of yours available on RU-vid. I've consumed an incredible amount of your marth gameplay, and it was the foundation of my marth when I still played. Watching this video felt strangely comforting, like going back in time to a simpler era of my life. I look at a handful of neutral interactions and it's clear right away - this is ppmd's marth. It's all still there, all the little nuances and play style preferences are unmistakable. I remember you doing a reddit ama when I was still garbage at the game, and I asked some straightforward marth ditto question that any reasonably good marth could answer. And instead of ignoring it you wrote out a nice detailed response for a simple question. If you ever choose to enter tournaments again, we will be there cheering you on time and time again regardless of placement. I look at this video and I see the marth that made armada give up on the matchup. Once your marth learns the new age tricks and gets some polish you can make it back to the top.

Interesting seeing this matchup in today's meta. Llod is the best peach playing today and he does some stuff better than Armada but Armada's peach was built different. Armada perfected the recovery and edgeguard options far beyond any other Peach to this day for instance. PPMD undestands matchups and game plans probably better than anyone in the world . He is desperately needed to advance the game even further beyond. I think PPMD if he started entering tournaments again would slowly but surely have an excellent chance to rise to #1 again. How cool would that be?

8:07 i didnt realise u dont shield drop until this moment. if you're already holding forwards, the shield drop is easy with UCF, and that comes up post landing, in movement, post rolls and spot dodges. watching you come down off platforms, u have to work so much harder and smarter than the rest of us.
