The level of COMMITMENT on the part of this veteran group to nail all the right notes and phrasing and moves is OUTSTANDING. Special shout out to their amazing band, a group of artists who were absolutely crucial to this killer performance. Watched it three times, still blown away.
@cozy Cool I hate to have to tell you but the same note can be sang in natural voice and falsetto for those with limited natural range. Most great tenors you have heard were singing natural voice notes. Listen to this and decide how many notes are falsetto. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2mOC7lKuMe0.html facebook.com/lonnie.cook.731
I can still hear & see them performing in the mid 60’s when I was in high school. Court of Love, The Beginning of My End, etc. They always had some great footwork, wearing their white gloves. The group still sounds great......who cares if it’s not the original members. A lot of life can happen in 50 plus years!
Yes, I remember the Unifics coming to the Uptown in Philly, I think they were the first group who wore white gloves and white bucks. When they turned on the blue lights it was an awesome show, their footwork was amazing👏👏👏
I thought Tavares recorded this song, I learned something today. I LOVE this song!!! One of my favorite memories was listening to my Uncles singing this song with perfect harmony in my Grandmother's basement, I wish I could get those days back!
I thought Tavares were the originals also, Unifics were bad in the day, those were the days when slow dancin' with the blue light in the basement was a conversation piece. Now with so much negativity in the world your lucky to make it home. Nothing can replace the music we had in the day!
I just love this song it reminds me of when I moved away from Los Angeles 90001 Florence-Grahman District to The City of Commerce 90040 the Land of Angelinos where the land is plentiful and the people are a blessing! Where I have made my home. Glory hallelujah!
My jam from along ago! I was in love with Steve and he told me this! Glad I be remembered ! We stay together ❤️ for 30yrs ! Missing you baby 😘 05/26/2019
This is so Smoooooooth, that if you're listening to this while you're driving your car, you better have CHAINS on your tires, or you'll skid off the road! These guys OWNED that tune... Pheee-NOM-inal!
Tavares still sounds as good as they did, back in the ‘70s, when we had good, clean music, that anyone could listen to. Not sure when this concert was, but I think it might be in the ‘90s, because they had afro’s in the ‘70s, and gheri-curls, in the ‘80s. Love you, Tavares...thanks for the music. ♥️
@@joeseibert5165 Wow, that's amazing. The singer with high pitched voice, who did the solo at the end, sounded just like the member of Tavares, who sang that same part.
Men every where sang in so deep sexy sounding so good masculine girl something hi pitch voice were pretty so but I think my favorite was deep you all were great in my eyes thank you for making me happy through your music ❤️
