Remembering Morecambe Wax works

I am loving the history vlogs it's so interesting to find out all of the places that I haven't seen as I have only seen modern Morecombe loved this so much. Poor pig faced puddle.

Used to go frequently with my friend when we were young, we loved the old arcade,if I remember it had a strange fortune telling machine,many animatronic miniature scenes and a few arcade machines. Loved it along with the theme park both sadly missed. As for your wax-work, Simple Simon met a pie man on his way to the fair👍 was an old nursery rhyme perhaps he's the character from that.

Hi Guys, as a teenager I often visited the Waxworks, I remember the guy dangling on a hook in the chamber of horrors who slowly turned leaving a circle of blood on the floor below. I paused the vid when you showed the programme and noticed the Beatles - George, Ringo, Paul and Buster Keaton? No mention of John Lennon (perhaps he melted too?). Cheers for the Vlog! 😁

I remember in the 80s it being a Waxworks . I can’t remember though if mum and dad took us in or not . Looking forward to your video on the Alhambra . I spent hundreds of hours in there as a kid when it was Alhambra leisure centre . Mum and auntie would sit in the cafe while me my dad and uncle would play pool ! There was a putting green across the road too , and if we weren’t there we would be on the pitch and putt in happy mount where all the swings are now ! All gone :( Frontierland gone, pitch and putt gone , putting gone, Alhambra gone ( in that form ), bubbles gone . But , they can’t take away memories ! Later on as I got older Id go for a drink with the olds in the Gordon club. I do believe that might be closed down now too ?

yeah i visited the wax works a few times as a young lad. i lived in morecambe when it was the mega zone too and i also remember when it went up in flames. like you said, so many things have gone up in flames in morecambe

Great video thanks. I came across it whilst doing some research on the Morecambe Tussauds museum, as I recently acquired the Ringo Starr waxwork head and suit. There is very little info online about it and no photos of the inside. Keep up the good work!!
