All that work, history and interconnected world coming to a premature end when things were coming to a head with many long plot points like the constant hunt for the future traitor of the freedom fighters. It’s sad to see, wonder if the old writers have notes they wouldn’t mind sharing of what the plans were and if there is any personal ideas to the future beyond those notes possibly an ending
Pre-Reboot Ian is the best incarnation of Ian. Felt like he was writing the comics because he wanted to write Sonic comics rather than the pandering to Sega’s corporate ways with the Reboot and IDW with those comics feeling like auditions than something meant for the comic medium. Probably helps that he has the toys to play with and did bring the book back to a stable state. On the other hand, I think we only consider him “great” because not many reads Kitching’s material or some of the other really good writers only wrote one story to their name. The recent Scrapnik Island mini-series makes me think Ian got by because he had no one to really challenge him creativity but that’s neither here or there.
This video brought back so many memories. I miss pre reboot Archie Sonic so much. Please do a video covering the fan made Archie Sonic online comics that continue from where 247 left off.
I got this for Christmas almost 10 years ago, along with a ps4, yet THIS was the Christmas gift I loved the most. I spent all afternoon at my grandmas reading about the characters and worlds. I know the Archie comics weren't perfect, but I enjoyed the hell out of them when I was younger.
You could probably make a mini-series on this. Ironically, this Encyclopedia was the last piece of official Archie Sonic media I read since I didn't know about its existence until I came across a mention of it on the wiki.
Hm, how very interesting, I wish it could’ve been officially complete, but that’s just how things can go, i guess. Anyway, this was a very appropriated cover of this Book, I will look forward to see what you will cover next.
