Remington Quick Cut HC4250 got a dead battery? Yes? Well you've come to the right place. The Remington Quick Cut in my opinion is the best portable hair clipper and I've bought several of them as replacements whenever the battery has failed to hold a battery charge if you want to use it portably.... but not anymore...
In this video, I will demonstrate some initial basic troubleshooting tips to try and revive your Hair Clippers, but then if the battery still fails to work or hold a charge, then we go onto the workaround hack to allow you to continue using the Quick Cut as a portable hair clipper.

The problem with my Remington is that it won't charge unless it's actually *running*, and it won't run unless it's charging (doesn't run at all unless plugged in). It takes a long time (a few minutes) to get up to normal operating speed when I start using it. I'm not sure how it's wired internally, it seems like it goes from the wall through the battery to the motor.

Remington customer service told me that once the battery goes, eventually the power cord will no longer run the shaver. Have you gotten to that point yet? Messing with a soldiered battery would be no fun. A repair center said that a replacement battery could probably be found. But I'd rather just insert a null battery that would be a pass-through to the cord. Not portable but failsafe. Btw, the cutter can be manually pushed out for maintenance without unfastening the bolts.

Why bother with all that faff? Simply get yourself a Powerbank with USB to Remington Cable and carry on working whether the battery is dead or not. The Powerbank battery is what powers the Shaver, not the sub-standard remmy battery and cable

I had exactly the same problem !!!! I have never had a good quality lithium battery ever fail, and I was sure Remington would not use Fake Batteries !!! So I pulled out the blade unit and the motor ran without stopping !!!! The blade unit was stuffed full of hairs and they were making it hard for the motor to work. So it cuts out for safety reasons. I pulled ot the hairs with Tweezers and oiled the mechanism and blade, and now my Remington Rapid Clipper is just like new !!!! (I was going to rejuvenate the battery by putting a 4 volt charge through the battery terminals for a few seconds, but there was nothing wrong with the battery !!!! It should last for years !!!)

Do you know what size Allen wrench you need to take the blade apart?

@@Jose-rc3dl 2 metric. Taking the blade apart and cleaning it out fixed my trimmer from going bzzt bzzt bzzt bzzt on and off. Works fine now.

@@Jose-rc3dl use your thumbs to slide the blade unit off. I watched a YT vid showing how to do it.

You can't undo the blade, they're rivets. The blade unit pulls out including the black plastic mechanism !!!!

I bought a copy of this off Amazon just into all that lockdown rubbish .I think the fakes were taken down .Anyway the fake has usb to charge {same cable as standard} , but its still going strong as of 2023

The fake is probably more reliable in terms of motor etc, but I read that the combs are not as smooth as the originals

Portability, the feedback I have received from some people is that it is an ideal solution for using in a bathroom where there are no regular plug sockets
