Love that you show the things that went wrong or how tricky things can get - makes me feel better about similar experiences, like when I changed the kitchen tap successfully, rejoiced, and the washing machine stopped working
Love this book! ru-vid.comUgkxpCNxqmAkyjN6NPx1fyB7QiEFWyO5mUWL it is simply one-of-a-kind! I really love it, because karah explained all tools required to have the job done, not mentioning the fabulous diy pallets ideas. I'm pretty sure this will be a fresh start in my new endeavour. Amazon was great, they delivered on time. Thank you!
I appreciate the fact that it was a low budget reno...I'm tired of these high and mighty TV shows and videos that assumes we're all millionaires. Great job...I'm about to plan my bathroom reno as well. I'll be spending a bit more but its refreshing to see that one doesn't have to be enticed to spend tons of money for a simple upgrade. Kudos!!!!
The bathroom looks amazing, this is the type of video that a lot of people like me.... normal, everyday, not-rich types can really benefit from! I am thinking of remodeling a lot of things in our house we bought last year and this provided some really good insight and ideas! Thank you sir!
You really should. I am looking to get into the property space in the UK and i am currently scaring RU-vid for remodeling ideas, not just for the bathroom but all rooms in the house. However I would go as far and say that there is a bit of a gap for this type of content. Unless it is the cheesy old tv style episode of garden renovations etc. You explain things well and I can see it being a perfect content idea on top of the gold mine you will be sitting on with your property renos!
Definitely enjoyed the video - I dig it when you break out - the Egg vid, the Comb project, the Greenhouse build - all great projects and there's no reason to pigeonhole yourself into just furniture. You're just a maker in my opinion, which should stem to anything you want to tackle. That's at least how I approach making my own stuff. Cheers Mike
My wife and I are looking to buy our first home. Most of the houses in our price range have older bathrooms that need updated. I have no idea what I’m doing so this helps me a lot. We are on a tight budget so this is awesome.
It is good to remind people of places like Habitat Re-store. I always go their first whenever looking for materials for home renovation. Stockpiling materials for the future is also a great idea. If you know you will be doing something "in a year" then you have plenty of time to get great deals.
I am in the process of doing some remolding myself, just spent 2 weeks working on my kitchen, my next project is going to be my bathroom, and after reviewing several options i truly like this the best, i have watched this tutorial several times because it is truly inspiring and i am looking forward to getting started so thank you
OK! So, I received this video on my public channel, because I like home improvement. I think you should continue experimenting with projects like this bathroom remodel .You have an "eye" for aesthetic beauty, and also for details, and, it came out great! Love,Love those sinks and faucets! Last thing. I'd try a color theme in your bath remodels. All this project needs to be outstanding is a "pop" of color. Like blue shower curtains, toiletry container and soap dish.
Great job for under $500, especially with the modern bowl sinks with faucets! Thanks for posting! The led backlit mirror will look good in any bathroom! God bless
For the outdated tile in the shower-you can actually paint it! We painted our backsplash in our kitchen and it was super easy-and cheaper than replacing it. Just make sure you sand, find a good primer, and a paint durable enough for tile. Probably will need a sealant too since it’s in the bathroom. Just a tip!
Dude....this was absolutely fantastic. I've been watching a ton of remodeling projects online, and you are by far the most creative. Gave me a ton of ideas for when I redo my bathroom.
I'm super impressed you were able to film so well in this little bathroom! hahaha so many flashbacks to DIY plumbing projects when we first bought our house
Haha, our 1st DIY was replacing a run of leaky pipe w/ PEX and it took about 6 hrs, so we feel ya! We went into it feeling all adult-y and homeowner-y, and by the end of the night we were eating goldfish on the kitchen floor wondering if we could spend the night at Evan's parent's house because we didn't have running water anymore >_
nice looking brushed nickel finish with multiple water spray options Our master bathroom has a standing shower with handheld shower head. We started to see some rust spots in the hose not to mention heavy mineral built ups in the shower head because our house has very hard water despite water softener we have. My wife picked out this handheld shower head to replace our old one because she loves the brush nickel finish to match our bathroom decors but this turned out to be very impressive handheld shower head. Although I have replaced shower heads many times in the past, it came with nice instruction on how to replace it for those who's not familiar with it. My only advise would be to use wrench to hold the base spout when removing and installing the holding adapter so you don't accidently twist and damage the base pipe when you over tighten it. I really appreciate that it came with plenty of plumber's tape because you really want to put that on before connecting different parts so that there's no water leak in between threads. This is one of most common mistakes and reasons why there's leak after installing it. Very happy to see that they have provided plumber's tape to remind you to use it! It also had rubber rings/washers in each connector but it also came with extra one, which is nice. They also included a shower drain cover to prevent hair from going in to the drainage, which is a nice bonus. I really love the brush nickel finish, which makes it look elegant and expensive. The 7 different water spray setting is nice to have so you can change it for different purpose. We will most likely leave it on one setting for most of the times but it's nice to have option to change it when needed, such as jet spray for cleaning the shower wall, etc. After replacing the shower head, I didn't see any leak and the stainless steel hose feels sturdy. I also like that I can rotate and tilt the shower head holder and it stays in place. Overall, very happy with this shower head! amzn.to/3gVZIrH ( AMAZON -US )
Hey man, i love your ideas and your style! Following you from Germany, great inspiration for me :) keep up the work. I Would love to see more videos of this kind ;)
Extending/sliding shower heads the BEST! (I live in a flat shower was designed for dwarfs or something... I had to duck then my son grew to over 6ft... Landlord thank god put in bar slides on also has stainless steel hose can lift up and off holder is BRILLIANT!!)
Hey man ! Nice videos ! I follow your channel since 2 years I think, and what I particularly appreciate is that at the end of every of your video, you take the time to do a quick feedback on what you did and the issues that you get into. That's really interesting to have your point of view afterwards. If I have something to say about your work, I would say that you can maybe give a bit more fun and unexpected functions to your furnitures to make them unique. If you can try to make it fit with your style ;) By the way, I'd like to say you thank you from France for your work !
I was thinking more about something like hybridization between an object and a function those are not suppose to be combined. It's a bit blurry even in my mind ^^' Anyway I think about something less traditional to enhance your projects and give them a kind of aura ! :D
You did an amazing job on the bathroom, very light and airy. The glass sinks was a smart idea , as they wont rust or get marked up like the stainless stell does. I am impressed
Great job!! You should roll your towels, it would give you a spa like feel, also maybe some succulent plants or a plant of some sort. Over all I give you 10 out of 10 lol
Really great idea, for people who aren’t professional interior design, really simple ideas to create something beautiful, im impressed ! Really well done !
Home Depot offers $100 off purchase when you sign for credit card + 6 months no interest. (If you can get approved) take your time to browse online clearance and get tiles, vanity, paint etc as you see fit). All the shelves ,decor and custom pieces ofcourse should be thrifted lol good luck Erika you got this boo!
@@essile_1938 because when you own a business there's alot of overhead and the education to doing things correctly cost money. You get what you pay for!
This is from a 1st time home owner me and my wife loved this video specially showing step by step and how we can use this video as a guide.. thank you for this video it came out amazing
Haley Mendez Dont forgot the 15+ hours he spent doing it ^^. So probably several days if you have a full time 7- 3:30 job. Also for cheaper versions of those bowls and faucets it would be 250 before taxes. He made it lool way better though
Working on a rebuild as well. Here's to DIY. These projects are major tasks for the inexperienced. However, it can be a great learning process and very rewarding.
It’s my first time seeing you do a video. But I thought it was fabulous. You keep things moving quickly with just enough information so it never gets boring. The timing is perfect. And you keep the camera on the subject instead of yourself, unlike a lot of vloggers who spend too much camera time on their own face LOL. I loved it and I loved the bathroom when it was finished.
Omg. I’m so excited to use thumbtack 😭 I didn’t know a service like that existed. I see all of these super awesome makeovers, but they consist of basic wiring/plumbing. Thank you!
Looking pretty uncomfortable standing there between the toilet and vanity Mark lol. But seriously, great job sir. Way to change up the content a bit. Looking forward to more.
It's a bit hard for me to believe this DIY was made under $500 (lol) but it was still a good job...was thinking if you had put sliding glass doors for the bath tub, it would be a great job. Maybe a future project? lol ;))
Considering he didn’t retile the floors or shower or replace the toilet I can see it being under $500. Counter was 20, paint was 20, wood stain less than 10, and the 2x6s couldn’t have been more than 75. Shelves above the toilet were free. So the sinks, S pipe and shower head, metal shelf brackets, cabinet pulls and mirror being under $400 is believable if he utilized the ReStore and clearance racks.
I am currently renovating my bathroom. This will be my first time and I do not have any prior experience or knowledge. I rely heavily on youtube videos. Thanks for the ideas and keep up the great work!
Is beautiful!! You're a genius. I would love to see if you can make a kitchen back splash . I want to see this project. Let me know if you think it would be a good idea 😊
Wow this was an awesome video. I would love to hire you. Great how you reuse and salvage things to cut down the expense. Where are you located? Keep doing you and making videos.
The existing floor appears to be luan but I'm not certain because there is at least 2 layers of cheap linoleum stuck to it. I just wanted to put peel & stick tile down. Nothing fancy.
