Remote Roof operating enabled by coding on my BMW e93

Thats cool , All my e46 s you could open and shut by key ,My e93 is frustrating when out side to have to get the key and do roof manually ,would love to have this function back reguards mark essex

Open the roof is still available, also confort access to the trunk is working too. I coded a brand new 2013 BMW with success. But unfortunately, closing the roof has been disabled since new software versions... :(

@Puzlionac Because you spent $800 in 'Comfort Access' option which allows you to enter and start the car with the key inside your pocket... And, of course, open and close the roof remotely. This video is for those who don't have 'Comfort Access' :)

Bmw have done software updates on odb recently. Can coding still done to open roof?

You can enable it by coding. It is necessary to know how to manipulate ECUs and their configuration. Your BMW dealer should know how to do it... in fact, if you have comfort access in Spain you have those features from factory.

then, you cannot enable remote closing coding the car... You will need an aftermaket module like smarttop or others. The other way is retrofitting PGS (comfort access) but this is not cheap. Regards.

For everyone wondering, the car had to have the Comfort Access option to open and CLOSE the top

hey guy I have 2007 328i convertible hardtop and I can't get my top to let back with the key . Just the windows and the side mirrors. I even purchased the carly coder but I can't figure it out!

@razor4tuning It is a little bit complicated. You have to know how to code different modules in the car. This mod affects two of them, CTM and CAS and you have to enable many options inside them using a USB - K-Can interface and a special software, NCS - Expertentool.

hello,Jose, can you please tell me what and where must be coded for remote opening and closing ( i know roof closing is not going any more). We tried with my codder but after a short keep of opening button the windows go all the way down (even if i stop presing) and also the roof start to open in the same time, no any closing - even windows (maybe because roof if all works at the same time). greetings

I have bad news for you... Since the last car upgrade done at my dealer, the remote closing is not available anymore. If your car is before 09/2007 and no upgrades were done at it, you can still enable this feature. Do you know how to code an ECU? Codification at the CTM and CAS are needed. Regards

On BMW original site BMW promote this original BMW 3 remote key with many more non-existing features! BMW let there customers believe that the BMW E93 3er convertible remote key can do more than open or close the door. But thats not the truth!
