After 8 yrs of constantly making huge stones, 10 diff urologists, 30+ Ureteroscopies Dr's removed the rt kidney now I'm making stones in lefty! I'm on a fluid diet(bc of a stroke)so drinking a ton doesn't always help. God bless you all who are suffering with stones.
@@wakarsheikh9703 Just had mine removed today - when it comes to blasting the stone (ureteroscopy) they put you under general anesthesia, so you will be entirely unconscious during the procedure, you won’t feel any pain. It’s about 30 mins, and after which if they use a stent, it can be pretty uncomfortable. As a female it feels like period cramps from hell, but I’m not sure what the sensation could be described as for males. They will of course give you pain meds and monitor you if you’re not well following the surgery.
@@ravalikola721 5 mm. Apparently there’s like a 60% chance that you can pass one of that size on your own, depends on the person of course, but anything bigger than that you’d probably need to have it blasted / removed surgically.
I had a stone removed four days ago. The doctor put in a stent, which I didn't want. The stent caused a lot of pain, bleeding, and reduced my quality of life. I'm so glad that I'm getting it removed tomorrow. I've had stones removed with no stent, and I healed much faster and had less pain.
I just narrowly avoided this procedure. Two days ago, my urologist and I agreed to let several more days to pass to see if the stone would pass, or if not, we would move along with the procedure. The next day, after the appointment with the urologist, it finally decided to move out of my left ureter and leave my body. Since it was only 2 mm, I didn’t really feel it leave, but the lack of pain and discomfort are so nice.
Mine is 6.7 mm...n it obstructed my left kidney so its moderately swollen...so, discomfort, feeling like vomiting, urine infection, frequent urination, prostate infection, pain, feeling of swollen painful n hard kidney etc is happening. Mild pain of kidney stone but ive had the reallll kidney stone pain 2 yrs ago it was not pretty but some part of it came out at that time so since then its been like this ....
Really, your urologist considered this for a max size of 2mm? It's usually 4mm where the real trouble begins and even up to 5mm ones have been noted to pass themselves. That's what my doctor told me at least. My ultrasound found multiple 2mm ones - flushed them with electrolytes and green tea (couldn't sleep for a week or so but eventually saw what looked like tiny ground black pepper grains and the symptoms quickly disappeared).
An 8mm kidney stone, turned out to be a life altering experience. A surgeon put stent on the WRONG kidney, sent me home with NO care to the affected kidney. I was septic with bloody urine then sick for 6 months solid 24-7 because a nearby clinic PA kept me on a non-stop two month regimen of antibiotics, killing off all good bacteria in my gut, setting me up for a C-Diff infection. I was deathly ill 3 times before a university kidney hospital got involved. By all accounts, I should have died. The kidney hospital was horrified. The Dr and clinic that did this to me? Not one shred of accountability. The state medical commission is comprised of drs and nurses which protects the industry, not victims. After that, I'd rather die in a ditch than trust drs.
@@rekhapaul1970 Yes, mine was stuck for about two years and was causing me no end of pain. It was only when a second, smaller stone fell down into my ureter and got stuck did they do the two surgeries to get both of them
@GM Tech Stent got pulled halfway out and I peed uncontrollably for about 2 days. Then they pulled the stent out and I felt immediate relief. DONT pull the stent string! watch out! I had to wear old person pee pants!
I had this kidney guide KidneyStonesRemedy23.blogspot.com with the request of my wife she suffers with kidney stones. She has underwent 2 lithotripsies in the last two months however it did not split her 7 mm stone. Roughly 2 hours right after applying this, she discovered a difference the discomfort was subsiding afterwards that afternoon.
Be aware when you do this procedure, if you go home with the stent, take vacation, because you have severe urge to pee because of the freaking stent on bladder. You leave your home, cross the street, and you are already desperate to pee. You will be desperate to get rid of the stent, but have to wait until drains, usually 1 week or less, depends, but also can't stay too long, it cause infections.
@@TurtleMofo12468 The stent is removed at the docs office, a scope is used to grasp the stent and it's pulled out in a few seconds. You will be sore for about an hour then back to normal.
@@TurtleMofo12468 yes. Mine was up way high. He said if they tape a string to your belly they remove it in office.I had to go into operating room under anesthesia to get mine removed
Doctor prescribed Warstone to me...I ordered it frm Amazon...my 17mm stone was dissolved in 2 months treatment..people said only surgery is the solution but Warstone saved me..
Hi sir I also got two kidney stones on left side and one on right side would you recommend it to me and how much time it will take to dissolve the stone he said my stone is a size of one sugar cube
I discovered this kidney guide PreventKidneyStones43.blogspot.com during the time when my husband is dealing with kidney stones. Kidneys stones are increasing from time to time. The growth was halted after he began applying this. He starts taking it again after he senses its existence again and soon after a couple weeks the ache is eliminated.
I had this done today to remove a 7mm stone. I couldn’t bear to watch these videos before the procedure but was curious after. Been pissing blood and fire ever since the procedure but beats the hell outta the pain the stone had me in, not even morphine injections could calm that pain.
I had that done. Had 2 stones over 1cm each so they had to cut it and had a stent put in, which I removed after a week. After the surgery hurt more than having the kidney stones
Holy smokes!! 10mm each? impossible to pass naturally, but i guess the doctor was a bit of a butcher(or the equipment was not well perfected yet...) and hurt you all along the way, then?
This might happen if the ureter is narrow and the doctor had to dilate the narrowing...any way it will resolve gradually ...but put in mind that there was no incisions,no tubes from the flank area or stitches....
@Sukhdev Varma There is no medicines to fragment or dissolve stones once formed...only medicines to facilitate stone passage and pain relievers if stone size small enough to pass through a 5 mm ureter...
Dears please consider that the up to date RIRS is the best technology human reached after many years of sufferings to treat stone disease ..no thing is perfect 100/100 ...but research and hard work is going on to overcome the side effects of this minimally invasive procedure
I had a lithotripsy procedure. It went smoothly and shattered my stone for easy passing. My recovery time was a little longer than I expected and the PT said that was due to my age. I’m a 67 year old lady.
I can confirm, removal of the stent and days of using the bathroom with a stent in were way worse pain level than the actual stone pain, but it's just part of the process.
Couldn't agree with you more.. I would of rather the stone that the f*** stent.. I have never felt this sick and I still have to wait 2 more days so they can remove it. 😞
Im already gone second time of this procedure, next week will be my third time, the doctor already put the stenting tube in my urethra, feel not comfortable and kind of hurt..the stone is abaout 3 to 4 mm, inside the kidney....just a bit regret, the 2nd time procedure was in 2019, just a few year the stone come back, but the most regret for me is, the doctor missed one stone, that i have now..this make me have to face third procedure..so sad..hope this is the last procedure in my life, i must drink a lot of water after this..btw, this video help me to understand more about the procedure, thanks..
Damn that is a complex device. Imagine the precisión to guide that wire from the bladder to the uterine tube, then locate the stone/stones. I would be curious how much that procedure cost.
I had this done to me today but they couldn't take out the stone due to it blocking my kidney whatever that menas. I have a stent inside of me rn and its making me feel uncomfortable knowing its inside of me
im one of the kidney stone patient...but after following ESWL procedure,my kidney stone now can be reduce to small pieces and sucesfully came out following with my urine..but im also has a cacualties too when that stone blocked my ureter line and the doctor need do act cateter to my ureter line..that procedure is make me so much pain when that stone was been break using ESWL and my cateter need to pull out because stone was friction wit my ureter line and cateter pipe in procedure to pull out..right now my kidney stone 4mm left..because i dont have fund to do ESWL procedure hope so next time i can do that procedure again to clean my kidney from that stone...sorry for my engglish..im just only try to share my experient have kidney stone ill.....
I have had 7 operations for kidney stones. One, unfortunately, ended in a heart attack and sepsis. The registrar tried to dig out stone embedded in my kidney. Then another specialist told me my kidneys are not normal shape I was 65 at the time when picked up
I had 10mm stone but doctors could not removed it by URSL.... So they broke the stones and told that the stone will pass if I drink four litres of water in a day and they did put a stent. Told me to visit the hospital after 1month to remove the stent and check the stones
Is there anybody whose 3 year old child has had this surgery? If so , could you please share your experiences? Because my son is about to go through this soon. Thanks
It wasn’t bad at all i had it this morning just some discomfort from the stent and burning a bit when i pee but it’s not bad at all! Today is my first day home and I’m fine!
I had stone in right kidney. Had this operation 2 months ago, stent is removed but since operation my left kidney hurts. I don't know why and I'm scared
I have undergo with 2 procedures.. first the shockwave and then this. I have a stent now and will be remove in the next 2 days Wednesday the 24th.. All I can tell you is that I don't wish you have to go through this. Horrible pain peeing, blood on urine, even panic attacks almost daily.. I have never felt this sick in my life and can't wait to get this stent removed.. If I could of choose again between stone and this procedure.. I would of rather pain medication and take herbs and pills to see if i could of brake the stone on my own. But my stone was 1.1 cm to big to pass so I had to go through this and it has been a horrible experience this far.
I just had this procedure done today ☹️ The stent is uncomfortable. I have to keep it in for 1 week. Hopefully I feel better soon. The Urologist did a great job 👏🏻 This Video is point on! I drink a lot of water and eat good but shit happens!!!
I havs done it today and it will be last till 18 august then doctors will remove it , when i urinate it is so discomforting like pain in kidney and burning urine
I have five stone in my kidney... Da biggest one is 8 mm and the second is 6mm and thirdly 5 mm. And fourthly 3mm and last one is 2 mm.. Plz remind me to all of yr prayer . Thank you..
Just took this procedure 3 days ago. The procedure itself was painless but you will have catheter when you wake up and that is painful when they remove it after 24 hours. You will have blood in your urine in a couple of days and it is painful when you pee, make sure you drink a lot of water to help clear out your urine. Right now, I have a stent inside and doctor told me that it needs to stay there for 3 mos. The stent inside is not that painful, it only hurts when you pee and a cold compress may help you with that.
Earlier this year I had 4 stents, a shockwave lithotripsy and 2 separate laser ureteroscopies. The stents didn’t hurt but were most uncomfortable and caused bleeding until they were removed.
When I had stent in before lithotripsy it hurt really bad when I urinated. I ended up finding relief from peeing pain when I laid on my bed on one side and peed into a plastic container and had no pain. Lithotripsy didn't work and had this procedure in video about 5 years ago. I now have a small stone sitting in kidney and hope it drops soon before getting any bigger.
This video was extremely educational for me helped prepare me for my procedure. I’m in my 2 day of recovery now and have little pain but some bleeding. Stay away from red bulls that’s for sure.
Just recovered from this. First time, woke up to Dr. telling me she couldn’t remove the stone because there was too much scar tissue. And it was in the wrong place for soundwave treatment. I came back in a month and had second surgery. Successfully zapped stone with laser. 6mm porcupine stone. Stent removal in office took seconds. No pain. But having stent in for the weekend was not fun. Tons of pain meds not helpful. Peed constantly.
Had this done wed. Still having horrific kidney spasms even after my doctor instructed me to take the stent out!! I will never go through this again! They gave me on strong pain meds abs they didn’t even really help!
TWO litters of total liquids per day is ok. BUT also get a food recomendation acording with your type of blood. TRY not to stress and sleep well. HUGS!
I felt very bad stomach pain going down to my right side n my back was hurting too I started sweating from my back n my head I couldn't talk cuz of pain I kept yawning too dont know why n it would cause me more pain I felt weak n felt like fainting but its a very very sharp pain like your inside is twisting very scary u think u r dieing its very very painful I got the pain after Thanksgiving following day n so did a friend of my daughter same thing paramedics said they had picked up people all that day majority same thing Omg too much Thanksgiving food n spices n ingredients OMG
No bc I'm getting this done tomorrow. I have had my stone for over a month and a half and the whole time has been on and off insane pain and so much throwing up 😭 I'm scared about the surgery but It needs to go I need to get back to life
My husband is having the shockwave done today ,he has 2 stones over 1 cm big and tons of medium size ones ,he will be getting a stent put in again but thankfully it's the stent that can be removed after a week
I know it's late but just try to pass the stone if the stone is under 7mm, if it's 1cm you're only procedure is the regular lithotripsy. extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy would be completely useless you're still going to have a cystoscope placed in to remove the stone fragments
I've had more than 16 Kidney Stones. They all came out (knock on wood) and in a way, I'm glad I did not need this procedure, looks worse than the stones. Let it be a reminder that you need to drink more, lots more, Water.
Can u pls someone tell me that after insertion of DJ stent , Will this stent help to remove out stone from human body? Doctor inserted Bilateral dj stent on my body and they said stent will catch stone and they will remove stone and stent along within 3 months.
Bro I did surgery few weeks back...the stent basically helps to widen the ureter so that smaller stones can pass out freely... I can understand your pain :(
I hope mine goes well. I had a stent put in a month ago going back in a months time to hopefully have stent removed i never want a stent done on me again already had a month of hell peeing like every 2 min most of the time the pee has blood in it went back to hospital and they said dont stress. I seems to have lost a lot of blood. I hope after it gets removed on 8th November my life goes back to normal
I'm wondering how much they would charge in the US for this, even if insured. In Europe, maybe around 800€ total, the vast majority being reimbursed regardless of your insurance status.
If you're poor it's free, if you're military it's covered, and if you're insured (depends on your insurance), I have pretty good insurance and didn't have to pay anything.
I have my procedure on the 28th and I prepaid, my insurance covered most of it, but even with my pretty good insurance I ended up paying $1,300 out of pocket.
@@bumblebee4550 operation ke time pe toh nahi dard hoga lekin baad mai urine bag ka pipe tumhare urethra ke andar jaega wo nikalte samay aur 1 month ke baad jab stent nikaloge tab koi anesthesia nahi rehta direct camera andar dalte hai aur equipment se bahar nikalte hai
