I love this topic Anna. My daughter and I have been discussing this lately. I worked in a high stress job for 31 years for one of the worlds largest chemical companies and I got so accustomed to pushing all the time. Now I’m retired and I set so many goals and standards for myself that it stresses me out. My daughter says, “ mom you are retired slow down and enjoy life.” I have had to slow down so much because of my health that when I feel good I want to get so much accomplished. But since my daughter has told me that I have been purposely trying to slow down and stay in bed a little longer if I want to and it makes such a difference. This was a great topic. Love in Christ

Hey Friend, Happy Saturday. I agree time goes by fast so we need to enjoy and embrace our days. Looking at the clock just discourages us but being able to take our eyes off the clock will truly please and benefit us. 😊🥰

For the first time in 3 years I’m not living by the clock! It feels like a revival in my soul! My husband & I have been riding our bikes, waking up when we wake up, eating when we r hungry….makes us so greatful! God bless, John 3:16

I'm not able to retire just yet, but I have been off work this entire week and it has been such a blessing. Cooking meals that I want to cook, working in my garden, organizing my home... feels so good.❤❤

I retired 3/2017❤ My little man came into my🐶 three months later fast-forward 7 1/2 years I still haven’t slowed down and him and I live are the only ones in our home😂😂 I take so much pride to my house. I’m always redecorating, refurbishing. I’m also very active when I walk and my weights. I am my Church’s financial Secretary/treasurer so that keeps me busy also. I have four children and 12 grandchildren are grown so they keep me busy. Also I just love the days when I can just go for a walk, come home, piddle around the house and relax. I’m usually up at 5 o’clock, but I’m upstairs in bed with me and Otis by 730 but I don’t go to sleep right away obviously. I like it that I can get the vacuum out at 3 o’clock in the afternoon and vacuum all downstairs if I want, or do a wash at night. Tommy and I look forward to retirement, but unfortunately with his stroke at 56, he passed away at 64. I am so blessed that I found your channel, Anna my friend ❤have a blessed fourth to you and Ernie, stay safe🇺🇸 God bless America.

I loved and appreciated everything you said Anna. You are so right, I unofficially retired from working in the Property Management field. I am very much a person that thrives on having a routine, everyday has something that needs to be done. However, this summer something has changed, not being lazy. It is okay to sit in the enclosed sunroom and watch the birds flutter around the bird feeder, to take the furr babies on a extra long golf cart ride, it is okay NOT to have a 4 or 5 course meal at night for my husband and I. What is most important, is time in the Bible, and some sort of exercise, and spending time with those we love.

Time...that's why summer off when we were kids was so fantastic NO CLOCK!

I’m a lot like you. I take pleasure caring for our home. It’s so hot in Phoenix the past couple of weeks, I get up extra early to spend a bit of time outside. I have a hard time allowing myself to slow down but I promise to do so this summer. Like you, I have to force myself to stay in bed but I do love early morning. I really enjoyed this video as I drink my coffee this morning ❤

I agree with you. I hate schedules with people. Roland and I are best friends and we know what we like and do it when we want and vacations should be fun not stressful over a schedule

Retirement....ahhhh....looking forward to that day but for now, Full time work, retiring is still about 10 yrs away, UNLESS we win the Lotto! Then its on like Donkey Kong :) I am loving our long summer days here in Cali ❤

Great advice, summer moves so fast I will be intentional on removing the clock and enjoying the moments, I love the early morning in the summer I water the plants and do outside work before 9am and the heat of the day, then move inside and do a run through and a few loads of laundry. The video was so peaceful great food for thought!

I am going to dollow your advice and remive yhe clock 2 days a week and see how it goes. I did something I haven't done in a long time...I got out a jigsaw puzzle. My husband and I worked on it for about a week, off and on., and finished it today. What a shame that we so rarely do something so rel.axing

In my family we get together near gatlinburg, to and rent cabins. We gather at someone’s cabin for breakfast and split off doing different things we want to do. Then we gather together again at someone’s else’s cabin. It is so much fun.

Anna, love this topic. Me and my husband both are retired, living the laid back lifestyle. My husband seems to have took it to heart. Lol We bought our retirement in 2018..1 payment and done. I on the other hand is having fun decorating it. Doing projects from thrift store to make it my style. He on the other hand, rolls his eyes at me so much. But you know he always likes the results. Anna I absolutely enjoyed this video ,you are so right!! For me I still need to live by the clock tremendously,I work a lot and I do everything around my house which is a tremendous amount of work ! But I certainly hope when I retire which still is years away that I will do what you do ,take time to enjoy life ,and not live by the clock,oh how I wish that to happen to me !! Do you mind if I ask what kind of kitchen wash clothes you use? They seem thin which I like. I haven't been able to find something like that anywhere. Love your coffee area in your kitchen! Anna, I thoroughly enjoy watching you clean your home, it is just calming and relaxing..I'm done for the day, 2:40pm and it is 110° already in the Phoenix area...next 10 day's will be 112°+, we are done with the summer, bring on the Fall with the cooler mornings and day's, were we enjoy gardening..I do have a question tho..what type of cordless vacuum do you use?
