Nicely done! Looks so much better... pretty sure everyone'll know it a Harley from your derby cover anyway, haha. Ijust bought an FXBB, gonna do the same. I wish Harley would just sell it clean, and let you buy the decal of your choice when you buy the bike... NO ONE I know seems to dig the tank badges that came with their bike. The desire to individualize, I suppose.
Just found your site, good stuff. Thinking of doing this and putting the 70s era emblems on. Thanks for the how to... Not real excited about the scratches though
If you spray them with WD40 ahead of trying to remove them and letting it soak in they will almost pull off by hand. Thanks to this video and another one I watched for giving this idea. At the end of each video they used WD40 so I used WD40 first and it was easy to remove the badges.
Where did you get the new decal you placed on? I am thinking of doing the same thing and remove the default one and place something small on there. I have the 2019 fxbb
BOMBER yeah I should have used Goo Off...I’ve put a LowRider S badge on now. Check out my bike here ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-_cdRXk5ae9A.html
I like the painted or decal Harley tank badge look rather than the one that comes on this one not sure about the total clean look tho. Enjoy the blog you keep giving me ideas. Get those axial covers "
Good thing my dealership does it for free I'm thinking about replacing this decal with the emblem from a 48 Or maybe the Fat Bob '18 Or may have the tank flame sticker or make it look like the Fat Bob '18 tank? What do you think?
Wiseman II don’t tell anyone else but I just bought the 2017 lowrider s decal badges! Think it looks way nicer than the original. Definitely the 48 badge would look great! I’m a bit worried the Lowrider S badge might be a bit big for the tank? The Fat Bob sticker was another choice o thought of doing, in silver or yellow/gold I was thinking. Much cheaper than the badges!!!!! 👌👌👌
Eric Sekkouah I’ve got the custom dynamics led lights coming...they are just taking their sweet ass time about it! I’m just a bit baffled as to how I get the rear lenses off? The fronts pop off easy. The rears on the other hand, no idea????
@@StreetBobberVlogger had the samen problem and then somebody told me there is a difference between US & EU models. Its impossible to take off the rear lenses on a EU model. The LEDs dont really fit in the front indicators either. The only thing I could use from my 200 euro purchase were the front lensecaps.
sliccflip it’s the Memphis Shades Cafe fairing...on their website it gives you the option to add the mount plates and clips. Here’s the link to my install and ride review on it ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-J3BcHPeaKds.html
Our bikes could be sisters. This is good info. Can't wait to take the badges off of mine and Plastidip the fenders, tank, and fairing. Are you planning a colour change?
Awesome a plastidip!!!! Id like to see those results. I am eventually...going to wrap it i think? But for now im putting a different decal on. Need the money for a Stage 2 or 3!
Wraps are fun! I did the lowers and mirrors on my Concours 14. 3M Vinyl is excellent. Get a little chislr tool and make sure the surface is spotless before you start applying it. I use instant detailer to clean it and the bugs and road grime come right off. :D
@@StreetBobberVlogger Just watched it mate, the badge looks the muts nuts also love the light bar, just a thought but your viynl rear indicators, if your not happy with the finish, i presume you mean the trimmed edge, " why not cut say 15mm wide piece of 60/70mm black heat shrink tube and cap over it.
I work for Harley and love mine, some decals are cool but nothing’s better than a smooth tank instead of that badge holding water and wash mitten getting hooked on that badge.
Avery Glick thanks man. It’s funny I found this stuff called goo gone just after making this video. Would have made my life a hell of a lot easier if I’d known about it before🙄🤘
I'm thinking about taking about taking off the badges off my bike off too, so I can paint something meaningful on it. Since I'm going to keep forever anyways.
Peter Mhiingan totally worth it...although I would use Goo Off or something similar. The WD40 is ok but after using the Goo Off it makes an hour job about 10 mins 🤷♂️🙄 I wanna paint mine eventually. Not sure what yet. Possibly some custom abstract type of thing?
StreetBobberVlogger thanks for your advice! For me it’s personal, I’m going to paint a timber wolf running for on both side of tank due my Native Ancestry in North America.
