Hi Mitch. Your process makes it easy to detach and reattach this heavy deck. Great stuff. I Just took off my MMM and the PTO shaft came apart as I set it upright on the dolly. There is a very small tack weld on the spline of the male end that prevents the PTO meshing back together with the female end if it isn’t lined up correctly. The ends should slide smoothly together. If not the splines are not lined up correctly. Don’t force it. I couldn’t see the weld until I cleaned the grease off the shaft. Thanks for all the great B2601 ideas. Cheers.
Thanks 👍 I am going to pin your comment on top so everyone will be able to see your comment first. This is great information. I myself haven’t had the PTO shaft come completely apart yet but now I know what to do thanks that’s awesome. From what I have gathered if you store the deck on a vertical dolly over time and low temperatures it can leak out of the input shaft. Just thought I would share that too. Thanks for checking out the video and Have a great week😁👍🚜💨💡
Loved the intro Mitch. Had me cracking up. This was a lot of fun even if it weren't so informative. I would have used 8x8's, but that's me . No wonder they call me "overkill"
GREAT JOB Mitch. Very cool intro. I have a mid mount mower as well and this is the first time seeing it removed like that. Never would of thought. Thank you for the tip. Keep up the awesome work. Videos are getting better each time. I picked up on a couple of your pointers here. Take care and all the best.
Nice, very clear instructions. Really looking forward to the remounting the mid mount mower, though could I just reverse the steps? And, Joe Who? Where is Joe's channel?
How's she goin'? Getting to know your gear so you can use it more efficiently is always a good idea!!! Nice work removing the deck. I'm new to your channel and since I like tractors and outdoor projects, I'll be back!!! Take care!!!
Thank you for checking out the video. Yep very true👍 I need to be as efficient as possible because you know what is coming ☃️😂👍we will be here when you come back 🍻
I thought it would be more of a pain to take the deck on and off. Maybe you just make it look easy. Looking forward to the upcoming videos. You have a good one Mitch !
Thanks MJA. Your channel is very informative. My new bB2601 cutting height dial moves at times when mowing from 4 to 3.5 etc. I'm currently at 25 rear psi. I'll try reducing rear psi to minimize some deck bouncing which may hold the cutting dial cam in more securely.
@@user-bx3gy5di9g That is an interesting issue with the mow deck dial movement. I will look at mine and see if I can figure out what could be causing that. Thanks for the info and idea for a solution in a future video if I can figure it out 😁👍🚜💨☀️
Just realized you r14s are 4 ply. My 2024 model b2601 are 6 ply tires. So my psi rating in the years are 40 psi max 2760 lbs. Your Rears are 25 max psi. . My fronts are 34 max 1230lbs rated . Your fronts are 22 psi max.
I built a set of wheels that clamp on the bucket edge that works the same way. I feel Kubota could have done a better job with removal and install of the mower deck, especially that front mower mount lever that is hard to get to, and how the pto shaft is attached. Saw how a friends John Deer mower attaches and I was jealous.
I agree but you have to cut cost somewhere😁My neighbor has the JD auto connect deck and it has its pit falls too. Everything has its good and bad I haven't found anything perfect yet. Thanks for checking out the video🚜💨☀
