This problem are very common ,they started on Megane 2 as from 2003-2008. its the upc which gets water inside,ive replaced over 70 of these.u either get corrosion inside or burnt connecion.. om megane 3 its fine till now. great job like first time issue ,have to start from the basic to find the issue. it happened to me back in 2005 when i was still working for renault as a technical cordinator.,and i started at 5pm finished 11pm. the rest was easy. no power chk UPC and replace. but your work procedure was like a pro technician.,hats off

The state of some of the cars you've had recently from other's attempts at repairs has been shocking. Makes fault finding even more difficult but glad you managed to fix it. Not sure you've covered it in your other videos but for the diyer like myself it would be useful to know what the acronyms mean for the different modules as they seem to vary per manufacturer. Just a quick google shows UCH, BCM, BSI, BSM all for one box! Also you mentioned this is the "same" module for Micras and I think I've read that k12's can have issues with these modules. As my mum and brother both have old k12s then are there any preventative measures that can be taken to stop the failure of them / make sure there isn't any water ingress etc.? My brother also has the keyless entry/start which I'm very nervous about that going wrong as it will probably be a write off. Also beige interiors never age well.

Could you help me? I have a clio mk3. It uses the same fusebox in your video. I'm getting a low battery and battey symbol on my dash. Voltage reading is 13.70 engine on. Do you know if the alt sense wire goes to fusebox? I belive inside the fusebox is a pcb with 8 smaller relays soldered to the pcb. Do you know if one of the relays on the pcb is responsible for alt charging message at all? The sense wire on the alt is reading 2v

Just got scenic with similar problem, but no sign of water damage, i don't want to put too many hours into it cause of the car value, i probably will end up putting second hand unit and see what happens :)

hi Luis, great job so far, I wanted your advice on my 1.5 dci mod. it doesn't like to turn and won't start. also it doesn't work. placed on the tester shows that all codes are open. I don't know what that means, but supposedly the computer in the PSP activated the vehicle's immobilizer. I would like to ask you for advice on what to do.

Just started watching this video. Everyone must be screaming from the start "What about the UPC". Flicked forward a bit, maybe it's not recognised because the other UPC is from a K12 Micra? (Black sticker usually = Nissan). These have basic IMMO in as well. No mention of cloning by copying the 93c46? There are 2 types of bottom PCB in the UPC as well. Not compatible either.

Not an easy diagnosis with the car pulled apart and incorrect parts and someone already having messed with it. I always wondered about parts interchangeability between Renault and Nissan. Actually from what i have seen on this channel it doesn't seem like Renault took lessons on wiring and electronics from Nissan. They still seem kind of poor.
