Nice. Had a no start problem, watched this video, identified my pressure sensor and... The connector was totally loose! It's not locking into place, but as soon as I pushed it in, I got life. Was seriously considering having it towed but it turned out to be that simple.
I’m getting a po191-c Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Range Performance fault. Brand new sensor. Followed your diagnostic procedure but I am getting 7.5v on the signal wire, you are getting 5v. Signal and ground wire test good. Any ideas on this ? Thanks 🙏
Hi mate, What does it mean if the feed wire only reads 1.5v. The signal reading is fine just the 3rd pin. It's the same for the feed wire for a few sensors. The van battery is full. It was driving and died as I was driving off my drive.
I had a VW Golf 1.4 tsi twin charge with snapped fuel pressure sensor. I bought a second hand one, did not work. so I bought a new one off ebay for thirty pounds ,that did not work. Then I bought a genuine bosch unit, and there you go, works. lesson learned, don't be a tight arse and buy the genuine part. it was only five pounds more. (the pound sign on my laptop is broken)
haha! I know the feeling 😖 been there before , also been sent down the wrong route after fitting second hand bits and not realising they were faulty.. Had an ABS unit sent to BBA reman once (they said it tested ok) spend another 2 days checking wiring etc.. was sure it was the pump.. fitted a new pump and Bingo! fault cured. Must admit I do always try get at least (middle of the road) brand parts now , doesn't take many issues for you to loose confidence in cheap parts does it 😂
Many thanks, I'll be checking mine in the morning. I am getting poor slow starting and surging throttle . No boost leaks found so I would be guessing but hopefully this might have saved me wasting my money at the worst
@@diydaly cheers for the reply. It definitely is harder to start on colder days and need to get it sorted before I kill my battery in winter. I may swap all the horrible plastic fuel pipe for some rubber as the quick fittings are rubbish too
@@diydaly I don't have a bulb on mine for some reason but if it is and air leak it on sucks in when the fuel pressure drops off after being switched off. Might be tomorrow before I get on it looking at this weather
