Due to possible kickback, using a blade for cutting brush on a loop handle style trimmer is not recommended. You really should get a bicycle handle bar-style brush-cutter with a harness system. This according to Stihl, Echo, Husky etc.. Also, use real Safety glasses. There is another video of a guy brush-cutting and out of nowhere, a chunk of wood flew off at high speed and bounced right off his safety glasses. He was so lucky. Freak accidents happen all the time...especially when using saw blades to cut brush, saplings, and all the hidden stuff that the blade comes across when clearing an area. I have had quite a few pieces of wood bounce off my head and body so far. I only have one good eye, so I cannot stress enough to protect your eyes, ears &...... be careful. I ended up buying the ECHO SRM-2620U bike-handle. At first it felt awkward, but now I love it. I also love the 5 year consumer warranty. I will be upgrading to a better harness then the cheap one that comes w/the unit. Not thrilled w/the Echo blades. I came while checking out all the blade reviews. Renegade has lots of great reviews. I will be buying a pair soon. Just wish the box stores carried them. I talked to the company and he just sells at Amazon or direct order from his Renegade Blade website.
I really appreciate you did the demo in real action instead of sped up. Thank you for all your efforts to bring us this upload. It's greatly appreiciated.
You’re welcome! I figured people would want to see it work! Before I bought it I watch different videos but still wasn’t sure how well it worked. Thanks for watching!
just ordered 2 more blades, they cut thru pin oak saplings like butter ! I cut 4" trees with it. I eventually hit one too many rocks ,so the 2nd blade is in service now, though the first one will still cut. great exercise hauling the brush out to waste.
Thank you! I took it to my neighbors house and used it by her lake. It worked great! If I would have used the chain saw I would have needed to put waterproof pants and boots on to get to everything. It’s a nice addition!
Ever try one of those Diablo blades? They sell them at the Home Depot! In all seriousness what’s the weight difference between this and the normal head?
You are correct, you can use it in grass. What I should have said was that it’s not going to replace your string trimmer. If your taking it through thick grasses I’d recommend the star blade attachment.
Hi. I've never used a Stihl trimmer. Is that "bell" beneath the blade part of your trimmer head or is that some sort of after market bump protector? Thanks
I think I found it. It's offered by Stihl called the "Limit Stop Deflector Kit", correct? Thanks again. Sorry for not researching before asking. Stay safe!
I bought mine on amazon. Here is a link to it. I’d say as long as it says it’s for sthil it probably doesn’t matter what brand it is. www.amazon.com/Gardening-Lawnmower-Attachment-Maintenance-YMHB/dp/B07JGM45CB/ref=mp_s_a_1_10?dchild=1&keywords=stihl+blade+adapter&qid=1589084807&sprefix=sthil+blade&sr=8-10
I just looked at my order from amazon. The place I bought it from says currently unavailable. There are tons of other ones on amazon though that are very similar or the same thing. Just not red.
Right now the ground it really wet. It is actually considered a wetland. What I’m planning on doing is using a tracked bobcat with a brush hog attachment. That would make quick work if this!
