I've managed to get the Tiberian Aftermath GDI Titan mech up and running inside Renegade X to the point where it is fairly convincing that it might be a custom code setup, but in reality is just a standard tank vehicle with absolutely no custom code.
This has foot alignment using IK solvers to make sure they conform to the ground. The feet will also settle down to the ground when the vehicle is stopped mid-way through a walk cycle. All of these are handled using animation blending inside of the animation tree editor.
The Titan mech is now avaliable for Renegade X - SDK Users!

Would be nice to see a obelisk melt off the turret of the titan. Reference to a scene in the older game cnc for unaware people.

JOHN ROBLOX except it was a wolverine that got its gun melted off and it was by a laser turret not an obelisk. but the thought is still there.

phinix250 the wolverine lost a machine gun because of a turret, later the titans destroyed the turrets, but an obelisk destroyed a titan, then the juggernauts destroyed the obelisk.

W3DHub has a TS mod. Along with others from the various C&C games. More of a classic Renegade look w their games, but pretty top notch I think

The inclusion of TS units in this game just proves the potentiality of modding power. I do hope that the Titan (and the other TS units) become a main part of this game, because... Come on, who wouldn't want to light the enemy up in a 30 feet tall mech?

I appreciate the effort of bringing this icon of C&C ingame, but what is the ETA on: Devil's Tongue? Mammoth Mk II? Disrupters? NOD artillery? Juggernauts? Orca bombers? Banshees? Tick tanks? Attack cycles?

Ultrakillerism As much as I would love to get other TS units in renx. I was only trying to help out of our community members in figuring out how to get mechs working. But you never know, I may try to set up more units in the future.

Ultrakillerism Banshees are probably too op in game unless they have limited ammo. Devils tougue flame dmg cannot be as many as the original flame tank.

+ljliang11 Not really. The original Banshee from TS didn't do a lot of damage unless it attacked en masse. It could easily fit into the game if they balanced out its damage.

The Kaiser Not really since you gain mobility of jagged terrain which most tiberium infested areas became. And following the lore, GDI discontinued the walker program for the vulnerability of the legs. The only walker that still existed after the second war (with the exception of Steel Talons pre- 3rd war) was the Juggernaut because it wasn't meant to be used close enough for the weakness to be engaged. You can't really make fun of the logic when it fits with the story arc/lore.

havoc1482 Just look at this titan mech from a realisitic angle, shall we? This mech moves slow like a mammoth and it's super high-profile. Also, it will be fall to the ground if the legs are blown off. Look at the NOD tanks like the devil's tongue and the Tick Tank, they're tracked vehicles but can still move just as fast when travelling thru the tiberium fields. In reality, tanks can be hidden in bushes and forests to ambush enemies. They can move over trenches/small pits/cracks easily. Also, they can still function as a stationary turret even if their tracks are destroyed. I don't see how the titan can do any of these things. I'm just sayin', replacing their main battle tank with this crap ain't gonna help. I think Westwood stuffed these mechs into Tiberian Sun just to make it look futuristic enough as a sequel.

The Kaiser yeah but not shown in this game is its ability to step over obstacles that would stop a mammoth or a medium tank. giving it a mobility advantage.

The Kaiser also surprisingly enough tank treads are rather vulnerable to mines and direct fire they just have a lower profile reducing the chances of the treads getting hit by missile or shell.

he is already in the game too :) he is usim two M134 cannons like GDI transporter and has 600 or 800hp... 100rounds on one reload. I've played with him few days ago... there was a map where you was able to buy it in the factory, GDI factory... i cant remember the name of the map...

It took the CNC Reborn team years to get the GDI mechs to function properly, thanks to limitations of the W3D/SAGE Engine. Meanwhile, the Renegade X crew are like, "Here are the mechs, just because!" It's crazy how much you can accomplish with the help of a good game engine..or how much tweaking you can do to a poorly implemented engine.

if we think about the C&C storyline, it basically would be that battles between renegade and tiberian sun :v ...Renegade X is just for fun, but already made an ambient that ea never made and WW would have done if was not closed by ea, the battle where titan shows up for the first time, think how amazing would be a game with the official story showing this, the times where titans join in the war before med.tank was retired

we can say that is not wrong xD it is basically the times when titan was introduced, by the story they came before other units retirees and also before the world destruction by the tiberiun spread, titan was a monster that other units had trouble to face, well, is a mid unit with strength of top unit. renegade x is a fanmade spinoff but still more loyal to the C&C saga story line than many ea releases hehehehhehe

The gun is mounted to a carrier assembly below the carriers connection to the main body. If someone built that in real life, when shooting, that would apply a force to that carrier assembly twisting it around it's connection to the main body and forcing the gun downwards. You could make that a rigid connection of course, but over time the repeated stress from firing the gun would cause it to bend or fracture, so you'd need some kind if suspension mechanism.

As much as I despise GDI, I will have to admit. I have a Great Respect for Titan Walkers. I hope they would be able to upscale the Map in a Later Updated version.. to allow TibWar2 Nod Artillery or even yet.. a Mammoth Mark II.

Ah yeah, they are bigger in Firestorm. I remember this was my first test with trying to get Mechs working in game. I wanted AI to be able to pilot them but there was an issue where larger scales confused AI. So in this video specifically I had scaled them down so there could be more titans walking and shooting.

This was released many years ago. You can find it in Renegade X already. The Titan, Wolverine, Hover MRLS, Tick Tank, Attack Cycle, and Buggy are all in the game. They are in random crate pick ups, or are purchasable from a few maps via tech buildings like on Crashsite, or Fort.

So no subterranean units? Shame, I think you are missing a big part of Tiberium Sun. You may have to make different maps. One with tunnels that allow subterranean units to move between the spots on the maps.

you just need hunt the crates. I had one week ago... 1000hp and it's more powerful than medium tank... but not more than mamooth tank. you can also pick up wolverine as well... I'm still playing and many ppl also, but I dont know why only on one server... there are several with ping below 80...

Something about the way it walks is not right at all. I think its too fast. Doesn't have that slow walker "thump.... thump.... thump..." Like you see in the TS cutscenes.

havoc1482 The cockpit isn't very stable when walking either. If in-cockpit view were realistic it might make players seasick.
