After a year, I am very happy with the RENPHO AI bike. While not necessary for results, if you are interested in a home indoor bike (maybe a cold, snowy winter is coming) I can't recommend a better one here. Thanks for the great reviews of the Renpho AI bike GamerBody. I just bot one Jan 2023 from Amazon, and it does now come with a water bottle holder - a metal C-shaped holder that bolts on with the two inboard handlebar attachment bolts, can bend to adjust to water bottle size. This bike is a good way to get some cardio and get a taste of the fancier home spin bike experience. I figure that worst case it serves as warmup for weights and a little cardio, and if the user really likes it, they can progress to Zwift, then perhaps to a higher end spin bike.

So far so good, the bike itself no complaints, sturdy even for a very big/tall person, plenty of height adjustment for seat and steer handle , the seat is very comfortable and easy to get used to quickly even for beginners (I have no need to replace it), bike is much lighter and smaller in length and width than most others out there - easy to move around, runs very quiet, plenty of resistance for beginner to medium skill riders - after several weeks of riding (I mostly do long rides with balanced pacing) rarely ever hit over 75% resistance. The only cons is for AI app, it does not save your finished rides so you cant compare or look it up to see previous results (Ive started tracking manually), also it does not count partially completed rides , it only tracks total miles and calories (each day) very basic stats, outdoor rides and challenges do not have heart rate monitor display (weird), most pre-set programs DO NOT allow you to change resistance (this could be a big con for many) - AI controls pace and resistance and its locked in. Im still happy with my purchase, for the price and everything (variety) that it has to offer this is a great exercise machine for everyone even advanced riders (if you use it for cardio and not sprint racing). I myself get exhausted and soaked after every ride and it feels as natural as the real thing.

@@thefire-nanceguy4440 with the AI bike app programs are very accurate, plenty to choose from, never had problems, I haven't tried any other 3rd party apps.

Great video but next time and you also include metric measurements too. I just purchased one and it does come with a water bottle holder now.

Controllable means that when using zwift it creates extra resistence when going up virtual hills on the bike. The problem with the Renpho bike is that the gradients that it can simulate are not very steep so you don't get 'real life' zwift gradients like you would on a decent bicycle trainer. I have had this renpho for about 3 years now. Its ok. I got it as a compromise so that my wife could use it otherwise I would have got a kickr or wahoo bike trainer. My verdict is that its OK for the money and their app is pretty good. You can do a good FTP test on it. I use the app whilst watching sport on TV which makes me feel a little less guilty. I don't use it enough. Go through phases with it. My wife never got on with it (SO FAR) so I wish I'd bought a bike trainer instead as the cycling experience would be much better. This is average, but at a good price for what you pay for. I could have even got a lovely outdoor bike but I guess if you live in a fridge for winter, you'll want something like this.

Yeah, I looked at a lot of other options for it. I don't really care that much about the biking, but the added races and such on it were good enough for me, especially for the price of this vs. other options. I did sell it when moving, but sometimes I wish I had it to just jump on and get my heart rate up a bit. I did go through the same periods you expressed through where I used it a ton, then not much for a few weeks/months, and so on.

Thanks for the review! Does it have a 10 minute ride w/ 20 sec sprints to improve cardio like the Carol bike has?

Not in this exact cadence, but you could setup a free ride and set the resistance this way yourself. There are a few that are 15 minutes long that have 15 sec sprints and 45 sec rest. Some also start with easier sprints and get harder over time. Quite a few options available along with the races and "outside" routes.

No, from what I see, it does it based on the test you take. So once you take the test, do some rides to aim to improve, then retake the test to see if it improves and go off those new results.

Question: do you experience a click noise when peddling? I just got one and there's an annoying click noise which each rotation on the right side pedal which I can't work out exactly where it's coming from. Unsure if this is just an operational noise but it's a little annoying

Take a look at the unboxing as that might have a bit more info on what it can do. I know there has been an update since launch where some heart rate trackers can sync, but I don't have any right now that work with it.

@@RamoArt Nice, let me know what you think after a few runs. It does feel a little different as it is motor dampening but I actually feel it a bit more when the resistance is high as I have to push against the constant tension vs a regular bike that has momentum already.

I am not sure if you used the bike for only 235 miles distance in one year has seen in your video or if you used it with other apps like zwift but mine stoped working after 90 days with 620 miles in Zwift and my FTP is at 220W. Got the bike in November 2021 and it is now broken. My last ride was 3h30 for a 78 miles steady ride. Not sure the bike is made to last when used for real hard training with in game hills and sustained time rides. I would like to hear from other buyers that pushed the bike to it's limit like I did. Now waiting to hear from Renpho for my warranty claim. My average is around 5000 miles outside during 9 month of commuting (37miles per day 5 days per week) and during winter I ride indoor. I liked the bike very much until it broke though.

That's no fun. I only do 1 mile all out rides right now and that's why the miles are low. Occasionally I'll do a 15 minute ride but not often anymore. I hope RENPHO can send a replacement!

@@GamerBody I seen another owner on youtube that show the same issue I have but in his case the bike was broken the day he received it so I can't compare my usage with his. I would like the bike to be replaced for sure but I would also like to understand what is the defective part and why it broke.

This bike def doesnt look like it was suited for those types of rides but who says you couldnt, it has motor dampening mechanism for resistance its totally different than most other exercise bikes out there. What did brake on the bike?? I would guess its the resistance motor mechanism, hope they come through with the warranty.

@@bearclaws2934 I am still dealing with Renpho support. I got the replacement handlebar today and it did not resolved my issue (expected to me). I made a replacement video that I will share with them. Waiting for next steps from them. As a side note I have been told by the support representative that the bike is tested to maintain 400w during 4 hours if I heard correctly. The bottom case might come very hot on touch after that.

For this, you don't need to return the bike and save extra costs. We hope to enhance your shopping experience. 2. Besides, we have forwarded the defective performance issues to the tech department. I cant figure out how to connect to zwift I got it plugged in but when I pedal and try to find it it won't populate

Does it work with the normal app? Make sure that works as it will need to use Bluetooth to connect.

@@GamerBody yeah, works with the normal app and when I disconnect it my phone can see it on Bluetooth but zwift won't pick it up got a Samsung galaxy 20

Hmm that's weird. I was using a Google Pixel 4 when testing. I would expect it to work on Zwift app though. Might have to google that phone and Zwift.
