Yes, but there could be a problem with that. Imagine that the voters of some state happen to like a liar and want them to represent them. How would you thread that needle since removal is not an option and the constitution allows stuff in debate that is not allowed out in the street. The best I can think of is to have fact checking happen in quasi real time and have the fact checkers be able to interrupt with the correction. This, however then leads to the problem of who exactly is the fact checker and how do they get that position. Also remember that "You are a shape shifting alien lizard, is that correct?" is only a question and is not a statement but the video of the thing can edited to remover the "is that correct" and most wouldn't check.

Durham gave congress a lot of detail on the lack of evidence and collaboration by the FBI, to verify their sources. But hey, Schiff has you thinking he's a great honest lawyer.
