A bottom of the new gas stove much lower than old stove and cannot be installed without replace the gas line. Samsung gas range. Газовая плита. Подключение газа к плите. #gasstove, #gasline, #howtoreplace
Brilliant! So creative and innovative in your technique. I was especially impressed when you needed something to hold down the pipe and used a strike plate!
Нет не получалось. Стена внизу где труба и стена вверху где плита не на одинаковом уровне. Только если трубу заводить через стену в соседнюю спальню и уже там в верх. Но хозяева не хотели видеть трубу в потолке спальни. Так что только так получилось.
Great video! This guy us super handy! I read that joint compound is not the best choice....maybe yellow gas teflon tape instead? Love watching it all at high speed. Fun! Thanks! Hope there were no gas leaks ;-)
I am just wondering, could the "legs" of the new range be raised so that the bottom clearance is more? Or can two 1.5 inch wood bars be added so that the new range has a taller bottom clearance. I suppose the new range is "expecting" the gas in pipe to be coming from directly near the back of the wall, while in this case it isn't.
By any chance are you located in SoCal, since I’m trying to get a gas line installed for my new range. By the way, outstanding work throughout that entire process! 👌🏼
Is it true that after turning off the house's main gas valve, then once you are done with all the gas range work, and turn the house's main gas valve back on, then you may have to re-light the pilot light of the house's central heater (furnace), and the pilot light of the water heater?
Took me a moment to understand why you didn't just move the line closer to the wall. Looks like you had a wall in the way in the basement, as well as heater and other plumbing in the way.
I also only put the pipe joint compound on the male threads only and was wondering about that as you did, although he seemed to work carefully and intelligently and obviously takes pride in his workmanship.
I wonder why gas service doesn't come from the wall like the laundry service. A recessed panel with shut off valve in it. Mine has enough room under the storage drawer for the gas line to loop under it and the sub out and valve are behind right next to wall.
You can see at 2:00 (in the basement) pipe on top of the ceiling just 1 inch from the wall. And next moment at 2:03 you can see the distance from wall to the pipe on stove floor about 12". That's was done when they build the house frame.
In Russia i would be fired for such a pipes montage... Too many joints, pipes downstairs arent fixed well. You dont even have a pipe cutting machine and use the standard cuts... Awesome bad job!!!
@@FixitAll not trying to disrespect man it’s just I’ve known that some have like a flat head screw that you turn about a quarter clockwise in order to start the gas flow after turning on the main valve.
