Here in our location, the pigment ink and art paper ink are two different inks used for different substrate. The Dye Ink colors look more natural than the Pigment Ink. It could be adjusted in post, I guess. Planning to buy the Epson L120 or the higher resolution L310 for use with pigment ink. Both are 3pl minimum droplet printers. Thank you for the video. i have two epson printers and the same model the other printer uses hansol pigment and the other one uses hansol fuzion dye, but dye ink produce more vibrant color and details compare to pigment with the same substrate ....
Pigment ink or Artpaper are better compare to dye ink , they 're last longer and more resistant to fading, but one thing I'm not happy with pigment or artpaper ink is they're cause so much problem with the printhead. the lifespan of printhead become much shorter when you use pigment or artpaper ink instead of original dye epson .

Very interesting. I've wondered why my printer creates rubbish colours, and have given up trying to change Photoshop colour profiles. Now it seems it might be because I'm using cheap dye inks rather than pigment based inks. I also like the water test; I assumed I needed a £700 dye sub to get waterproof prints. kaoskus you need to clean the original ink that stuck inside using cold water then you need a srynge you need to flush it few times by putting water in the tank then use the srynge insert in the ink cartridge port and then pull back the srynge then dispose the water in your srynge to sink do it 3rd times for 4 times until you clean the dye ink stuck on the tank house and cartridge the final is refillall 4 color tank using pigment ink (BK Y M C) then use 4 srynge to pump all 4 color pigment ink to cartidge after the pigment ink comes out to cartridge means its full then place it back to the print do it in 4 cartridge
Hi, I'm using EPSON L130 printer. The stock ink is dye. I want to change it with Sublimation ink for Heat press machine with Sublimation Paper. Is it possible to change or do I need to change the dye ink for Sublimation printing on Sublimation Paper for heat press machine? Can I use the stock dye ink for Sublimation printing with Sublimation Paper for heat press machine for printing T-shirt, Mug etc. That will be very helpful for me with your answers. Thank you.
Has Anyone had success using pigment based inks in the Epson Ecotank series such as ET-2750, ET-4750, ET-3700, etc... Not sure I wanna make a 400$ mistake
They say that mixing Dye based with Pigment based inks is the worst thing you can do. For anyone seeing this and wanting to made the change, please do your research before you run the risk of damaging/ruining your machine forever.
He purged the dye based ink from the printer, that's what the water bottle was for. dye ink is water based and stays on the bottom while the pigment based ink floats on top as another layer, it's the same thing as oil floating on water.
also pigment based ink only ruins printers that aren't designed to use pigment based ink because it clogs the print head. the reason they don't want you mixing inks is because it one will stay on the surface while the other gets absorbed into the material being printed on and cause issues where the ink will smear since it won't cure.
Keyzer Soze That will break your printer bro because thats a mixture of different inks with the same ink tanks and same cartridges. If possible, just replace your ink tanks and cartridge.

Can we Fill the ink tank with Pigment inks ignoring orginal inks that came with the printer in the first unboxing itself ? Can I do the same with Epson L1300 or Epson L1800 ?
In case of L800 805 its in the back of printer look for a place with lid and screw, unscrew and pull the pipe out from the waste pad. In case of others like L210, L360 look at the bottom of the printer.

itu perinternya tinta macet om pas pake dye , kalo di ink dye saya itu hasilnya sama kaya yang di layar komputer , tinta kuning ga keluar itu jadi hasinya begonong
I've been using the L120 for printing photos and the resolution greatly depends on the software you are using to print the photos. I have to override Epson L120's driver with Epson L1110 driver and the photos are truly great.
there's an ink waste compartment on the printer that contains a sponge which holds the waste from head cleaning. i'm guessing they drilled a hole in the compartment and added a vinyl tube, i could be wrong.
They didn't use mineral water, they purged the old ink from the print head by pushing through the new ink. if you're trying to clean the print head i recommend bottled water with the minerals removed then place the water in the cartridge after removing most of the old ink then run the head cleaning a few times and it should unclog the print head and clean the nozzle.
All of epson L series can use the pigment/art/durabite type ink. But ypu must clean up their printer head and the ink tank before. For the best result, U can use the L850 or L1800.

Coba tekan tombol warna yg ada di dekat tombol power, tahan 5 detik, lepas lalu tekan seketika lalu lepas.. Coba dengar, apakah printer memompa tinta? Itu metode tanpa software.. biasa disebut deep cleaner
halo pak tri, saya ada beli printer epson L1800, saya ingin pakai pigmen ink tapi si penjual isi pakai dye ink, lalu saya minta ganti tinta si penjual bilang tidak bisa, karena printer bisa rusak ketika tinta dye dan pigmen tercampur. apakah benar pak tri? trims info nya
Nonsense, he is using it to push the remaining dye ink out of the tubes and draw the pigment ink through. The whole point of head cleaning is to draw out air in the system, i doubt it actually 'cleans' the head
Say goodbye to your printer if you do this. It'll work just fine for a few prints then the printhead will be clogged so terribly that nothing can ever open it up. Straight pigment will not work for epson heads it needs to be specifically formulated to work on these types of heads.
@@spankmunky316 Depends if the printhead is different. I work with epson DX4 and DX5 printheads. The pigment formulated for DX4 works great with DX5 but doesn't show the same performance with DX7. So needs to be tested.
