Did you have any issues with the new thermostat? I ordered the same one, to replace mine. Current one stuck open, so need to be replaced.

No I didn’t have any issues, you can test the new thermostat before installation by placing it in boiling water and making sure it opens, then as the water cools down the thermostat should close again

You made it look so simple when you just buttoned it up but you didn't show getting the AC condenser into the little slots on the top of the radiator I know why

Hi I have a 2002 Saturn SC1 I'm experiencing over heating and I took my car to a guy and he said something about the manifold water inlet? What exactly would that part be... I don't have the manual to the car?

Hey Jasmine let’s see if we can get your car fixed.. first thing - are there any visible coolant leaks? Start at the coolant reservoir (left side of the engine if looking from the front of the car). The thermostat and water pump are both on the same side of the engine so I would shine a light down at the side of the engine where the belt is and see if there is any (green)liquid visible. If not, then the leak could be coming from the intake manifold which is on the back side of the engine. It’s a little crammed back there but if you stand on the driver side by the tire and look across the back of the engine you should be able to see any leaks. If you need more room to check the back of the engine then you can remove the big plastic hose which connects the air filter housing (front right of engine by the battery) to the top of the engine.

So the spots where it’s made for an automatic transmission cooler lines don’t you have to block those off

Not on the model that I purchased, since no fluid will be introduced to those areas, you won’t have any issues. The fluid would flow to the radiator from the transmission, therefore if the trans cooler lines are not connected, nothing will be flowing into that chamber

I have a new radiator, a new VC gasket, sparkplugs, oil filter, oil, and dexcool. My question is about what order haha. 1. Drain. Flush radiator, block-Tstat, and possibly do the heater core. 2. Remove Valve cover, clean inspect valves, replace all 4 splugs, clean and replace cover. Now should I fill the coolant? or do an oil change first? Does it matter

I guess oil would make sense to test gasket after 24 hour set. And the coolant level will need adjusted probably while the car running and it's not right now haha

Hi! I think you should add the coolant while you want for the valve cover to seal, then oil when you are ready to start the engine. However the order is not too important, just make sure that you fill the fluids up before you start the vehicle! The order which you mentioned would be perfect

Do you have any videos on transmissions and there sensors? I replaced the speed sensor and it still doesn't want to go into the last gear and sometimes it's hard going into reverse. Also it Will downshift it's self?

I personally don’t have a video for an automatic trans however the slamming in reverse is a very common issue, try changing the trans filter and fluid
