ok so I watch your video and I know its 3 years later but I just came across it and hopefully you respond.....I have to say you are hilarious....I love the way you get straight to the point and don't edit to make it look proper or classy....than your like "if you cant see it than o well"...ctfu....any who...lol...when I would put the truck in drive, it would act like it didnt want to go anywhere and than my check engine light came on....code was P0758....2-3 shift solenoid B...was going to just change that one but my mechanic/friend said dont just do 1 do both and MAKE SURE I also change the filter and gasket every time I drop the pan...so here I am watching your video....I changed both and you were not lying when you said the pins are a pain in the butt.....I am about to put back in the old fluid because it dont look bad and there was no metals at the bottom of the pan or on the magnet.....I am just hoping that was the issue.....the reason for my comment was to ask if that does not fix the issue do you have an idea on what else it could be???? Also how do you reprogram the computer??? And do you have to do that when you change out the solenoids??? Thanks for your time and help.
I don't have needle nose pliers! This reminds me of the vid of someone taking apart a treadmill to get the DC Motor. I got the free treadmill off craig's list but spent over $100 for tools. haha. My buddy says, "it's an investment." yep.
The problem was I programed the computer wrong. It has different shift modes build into the computer. I had them too far off. I put all the shift mode togather so it shift fine now.
The torque converter broke and the transmission stop pulling. A shop rebuilt it and it was still doing the same thing. They had to take it apart and use a new case. The case was leaking inside.
I had this similar problem with mine and I've already done the shift solenoids when I flushed my transmission fluid I thought it was my rear axel cuz it needed a new cover. But instead of doing this in 2nd gear it'd do it from a stop. Literally happened for the entire 2 years I had it. Finally got a code for 02 sensors low and high voltage, of course the sensors themselves were just bad. I guess during my drives it didn't happen enough to throw codes. Caused poor acceleration. And finally started stalling on me, after i thought it was the throttle body, this incident threw the codes. Hopefully you got it fixed or this helps you later. I'm at about 176,000 miles and the only major issues thus far that I've had was fan clutch, 02 sensors, and the vehicle sways/wonders. I replaced my fan and water pump seeing as how my water pump would've needed to be replaced soon anyways. That didn't fix the issue, so I replaced the relay. That also didn't fix the issue, I tried looking up a solution and couldn't find one but found the problem myself. Turns out no one tells you it also has a fuse and it was blown so it's fixed. I'm still trying to figure out what's up with my swaying/wondering issue. Any info on that would be greatly appreciated. Note: I've replaced bushings, ball joints, sway bar links, rack and pinion and trailing arms/track bar I'm thinking maybe my rims are bad but not like visibly bad probably cuz they're old. It's not the tires cuz I've replaced my tires twice just cuz not that it was necessary. Or the place I took it to didn't align it correctly which I've heard does happen though it's done this before I did the work. Could the sway bars be bent maybe? 04 trailblazer 4.2l Please lmk what your thoughts are on this.
Mine just started shifting real hard out of first gear into second and as I accelerate a little bit you could see the RPM start jumping between 2 and 3 RPMs and not wanting to go he could feel and hear the engine start the wine I got an 04 Envoy do you think it's a solenoid problem our best guess what else it could be?
Part of the problem was the pcm has 4 shift tables and each one was set differently. After setting all of them the same. The transmission will at the right speed every time now. The second problem was the case was cracked and leaking inside. This fixed the shift to 2nd. slip and bump problem. I had to take it to a trans shop. It took him 3 times to fix it.
There are 3 other silenoids in the 4L60E Automatic Transmission there are 2 in the back which are round in shape 1 is a torque selinoid and the other is a low shifting selinoid and where u installed the 2 new selinoids there is another that stands up with a metal base that bolts in place it has a long plastic stem on it try replacing the other 3 selinoids if that doesn't help then it's probably the wiring harness because a bad wiring harness can cause the exact same problems as bad shifting selinoids
@@blackericdenice I know that feeling all to well that's why I hate computer controlled vehicles it's so easy to completely screw up everything or fry something plus a royal bitch to work on depending on what part it is your working on and replacing
@@michaelscott8129 I love computer control cars. Once you understand how they work. They are interesting. I can program my Trailblazer to shift when I want it too. How hard I want it too and how quickly. I don't have install a shift kit. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-P-Bzi-yd0Io.html
Awesome video guy . My car overheated and burned transmission fluid & I didn’t replace fluid for a while , now when I’m on the highway going at 60-65mph is like is forcing itself, my rpm are at over 3k , can that be a solenoid?
Someone has a vid on replacing the accelerator piston on the Transmission TB - and that fixed a similar problem? Same thing - just took the pan off and get in there. thanks
Driving along doing 60, went to pass a slower moving car, 2004 trailblazer shifted into overdrive then nothing. Engine running but zero acceleration, had to coast to the side of the road. No reverse or drive now. Any advise??
@@blackericdenice I hope not. I basically just had the same issue. For a couple weeks it’s randomly felt like it’s stuck in 3rd or 4th gear when coming to a stop but manually shifting it down to 1 then up back to D would get it driving normally again. Now I’m not getting anything at all. Stopped at the red light. Pulled off the freeway off-ramp and then lost all power as I was completing the turn onto the street. Now I don’t get any gears including reverse. Engine is running fine. Coasts in neutral just fine. Could this possibly be one of those 2 solenoids or a different solenoid? I’ve had a po128 for awhile(probably unrelated to current issue) and now that I’m not getting any power to the wheels I’ve got po894 and po741. If you take the time to read this and provide any insight, I’ll be immensely grateful.
@@christophercrawford2736 My problem was because I programed the transmission wrong. Po128 has nothing to do with your transmission. If your transmission is not pulling anymore. It need to be rebuild.
