The previous owner of my car decided to spin out as lead in front of Jake Wise and others in a 350z tandem train. This destroyed the front of my car but luckily everything is replaceable.. I also decided to try out the Koyorad in place of my old Mishimoto radiator. However, I did buy a new Mishimoto thermostat to replace my stock one. Enjoy!

Fun fact I may or may not have learned the hard way: if an engine never gets to proper op temp, it’ll cause premature wear on the bearings and then spin them. Hardcore. 😬

What can you do to get it to operating temp if your system keeps it too cold

Nice video! The reason why the check engine light turns on when is “overcooled” could be an open thermostat/stuck open. The ECU is programmed to run an specific temperature, to protect/prevent the engine from premature wear/damage. Not that bad at all, some performance cars need a performance thermostat that opens some degrees earlier than the stock one. But I think in your case that was it, just a new thermostat! Pretty cool video!

In general thicker radiators should dissipate heat more efficiently which may mean that the mushimoto is actually superior over the koyo

In general I like the koyo better so it’s superior to the Mishimoto.

I'm preeeetty sure the reason that the mishimoto radiator is better and thicker because of its second core not single like stock

@@markedelen8109 better than a single core depending on what your looking for. If it's for weight I understand but if it's for cooling kinda a downgrade because single core doesn't cool as well from my experience. What they have is basically the same as stock but will last longer if it's for clearance I can understand as well as it leaves about 1cm of clearance from the belt pulleys but if that's the case personally I would've gone for the slim fans before trying the radiator to try and gain clearance.

@@markedelen8109 people talk alot of shit on Mishimoto mostly because they're almost exactly the same as Ebay knock offs and they never fit as well as they say
