People complaining about the title need to get a life. I understood what you meant. It does add bottom end torque to the bike and helps one line trail riding.

Calvin Farrow are you a trail rider?
@calvinfarrow3819
@calvinfarrow3819 7 лет назад
Cole Train yes I ride tight and steep trails a lot but I love how light and nimble 125s are. The sprocket made a ton of difference in the gearing, so I can't go as fast and I have to shift more, but I can go up hills much easier without having to wrestle a heavier bike and it makes the riding more controllable on technical stuff. I know people are gonna say I need a bigger bike or a 4 stroke, but a 125 with low gearing is plenty for what I need on trails for me.

changing your gear ratio, may increase your take off speed but will decrease your top end speed
@lukebrommage2420
@lukebrommage2420 5 лет назад
Not if your bike can't pull your top gear like mine, when I went down from a 16t to a 14t I gained acceleration and top end!
@dandeluca9840
@dandeluca9840 5 лет назад
Luke Brommage what do you mean pull your top gear? I thought gearing down always loses top end speed
@cryhavoc1658
@cryhavoc1658 3 года назад
@@dandeluca9840 he means if you have enough top end that you aren't winding out the gear, gearing down won't have as much effect on your top end. I have a 6 speed enduro with the same deal. Bike goes 55 all day, but first and second gear are negligible. Dropping teeth on the front sprocket gives me more usable power in lower gears. I need power in my gear shifts and transitioning terrain, not going flat out on trails.

@jasonrondeau6345
@jasonrondeau6345 6 лет назад
Unknown X, it'll be a larger front or a smaller back. This really doesn't explain good though. I don't know about you, but where I ride it's hill and turns. So hills and turns you'll want faster acceleration. If you're on track or straight ways then get top speed.
@cabaco33
@cabaco33 6 лет назад
It Gives more acceleration but less top speed and yes torque changes easy to calculate. That is sometimes wanted for running large touring bikes on bad dirt track roads.
@MotoJake
@MotoJake 6 лет назад
Lukas Vindevoghel it will not change HP. It will change speed in acceleration. Either speed will go down and acceleration will go up or acceleration will go down and speed will come up

Why all bike are connected front small gear to rear large gear!?Can u explain
@lukewalton7352
@lukewalton7352 6 лет назад
Agr Mohamed Rabbani Apart from your question not really making sense I will try to explain. The front gear is smaller so that the engine can spin it more and it can move the back tire less, there for making it easier to take off and go. If it was a big gear to small gear then it would nearly be impossible to get going because then the back tire would spin like 4-5 times for every rotation of the bigger gear. Hopefully I somewhat helped🤷‍♂️

One I don’t want my bike to wind out and have to switch gears every couple seconds .2 I don’t want the motor bog down up hills or in mud . 3 rd a comfortable speed will be around 25 , 30 mph to trail ride without going to fast not being able to react quickly enough to dodge those pot holes lol????
