Today we run all new brake lines for our new Integra rear disk brakes. Using braided steel lines with pvc coating from Ebay and Chase Bays, fighting a little rust along the way. These new lines look awesome!

Have to order these because the 10mm that goes from the OEM hardline into the softline in the rear literally sheared the hardline off because it was so seized. Loving it Thanks for the helpful video bro I'd be losing my sanity if not for this

Spent $250 for Oem steel lines, didn’t wanna drop the subframe so now I have a front steel kit with the $110 nylon rear kit. Total is $360 so hopefully I can reuse the brake lines for fuel lines later down the road…

Dang. Cant find the lines anywhere lol. Trying to find braided brake lines like the blue ones used so I can have flexibility and not have to bend, but all that is coming up is either steel or copper lines or just the small braided lines that connect to the caliper, but nothing for the ABS

Nope, we die like men, I've got it though but I don't have much room to bolt it up since the seats are wider and lower than stock. I'll figure out a way to get it in by spring!

How well does it seem these lines are holding up? Also if I still have drum brakes for the rears, could I just run the lines from the proportioning valve into the drum brake bypassing the brake hose?
@kraftingkars
@kraftingkars Год назад
Lines still look like new! And yeah I suppose you could, there should be enough slack in the brake line. You will just need to adapt the drum brake cylinder fitting to -4an

Do the brakes feel spongey at all? from the braided lines swelling? I got a bunch of people telling me not to do this cuz it'll feel terrible lol, but I'd rather have someone whos actually done it weight in, thanks!

It feels great, coated braided steel will not expand under pressure. Especially the pressure from your leg.

Quick question about the canister line that you removed. How did you leave things at the fuel tank?
@kraftingkars
@kraftingkars Год назад
I believe that line led back to the gas tank evap valve, and I'm pretty sure I just pulled it off and left it. I haven't had any problems yet

I am planning to replace my civic brake line too. Will the one you use connect to drum brake? Also, how do you secure them without using zip tight?
@kraftingkars
@kraftingkars 2 года назад
Yep, so the blue lines I ordered go from the prop valve to your inner rear fender well so it will work with any setup. To secure them without zip ties you can reattach the original brackets from factory, or make/order new ones
@Birdsofparadiselost
@Birdsofparadiselost Год назад
I had this exact same question. Is there anything else to look out for in connecting to drum brakes or are the fittings that come with it just plug and play? Thank you so much by the way for your video, it just feels like such a daunting job and this is a nice solution

this video need a go pro on your head lol im stuck trying to get the plastic trey off the lines right now and i do not want to break anything....... there are 3 bolts and 1 nut in the front and from what i can tell 2 clips on each side of the trey and you depress the clips and pull down ???????
@kraftingkars
@kraftingkars Год назад
So those are classic Honda push rivets. On older cars they usually break when you remove them. But you want to take a flathead screw driver, and pry up on the center section of the rivet, there will be two spots on either side of the center where you can pry up on. Once the center pops up, the rivet pull right out

What did you do to delete the charcoal canister?
@kraftingkars
@kraftingkars 2 года назад
The charcoal canister up front has been removed, and I pulled the lines off the purge valve near the gas tank and left it plugged in. With Hondata you can disable e evap codes. When you get the car up in the air you can trace the hard lines and it makes more sense!
