Replacing the struts/shocks on your T1N Sprinter or any vehicle is VERY important, especially in a campervan that has a ton of added weight in the back.

The OEM front shocks take a 8 mm Allen key on top. The blisteins will take a 7 mm Allen key. Useful note. Just did this on my 05 2500 cargo 140'' - Dave

Nice I was just debating whether to get these or the koni’s. Think I’m gonna go with the Koni on my 118.

The Koni shocks are a good choice too

Hey just fyi, the stock shocks on a sprinter are hydraulic. Hydraulic shocks will not spring back when pushed in, only gas shocks do. So if you buy new shocks and they don't spring back that's probably why. Thanks for the vid, I used it a bunch!

Also i need to replace anti roll bar linkages front and back so was wondering if you had a video on changing these?
@madetoexplore
@madetoexplore Год назад
I don’t but it’s very straight forward. Would definitely recommend soaking the bolts with something a couple days before to help them loosen off easier.

I recently got new kby shocks for the t1n and they are easily pressed in. Are they bad shocks?
@madetoexplore
@madetoexplore 3 года назад
You’ll know the shocks are bad if you compress them, and they don’t extend back out.

Did you have to change the top mounting hardware? I have a ‘05 3500 and have to change the top bushing over from the old struts
@madetoexplore

The new shocks came with new bushings I believe

@@madetoexplore ended up getting them on there, but had to throw some washers in as spacers. other than that went super smooth! fronts are going in this weekend

Were these shocks not adjustable? Was recommended the Konis, and would need to know how to adjust them to 75% of range.
@madetoexplore
@madetoexplore 3 года назад
The Konis are also great shocks from what I’ve heard. No the bilsteins that I put in are not adjustable.

@@madetoexplore thanks! And did you replace any of the bushings (people recommend for the front esp.; on the rear, I'm not sure but maybe part of the shock?) or any bolts/nuts etc.?

Where'd you purchase the shocks from?

I actually ordered them off of Amazon

What is your comment and impressions with new shocks? Especially in Offraod use, did any improvement?
@madetoexplore
@madetoexplore Год назад
When I bought the van, the shocks were in terrible condition. It felt like the van was going to tip over on the highway during a windy day. So yeah they made a HUGE difference, especially off-road.

@@madetoexplore i have used the same front struts. But mine front struts bottoming out when i hit hard on offroad step. 🤔. Did you have such an issue?

Hey dude - if you are still working on dip removal - grab a few bottles of dip dissolver from dipyourcar.com. My T1N was dipped by prior owner and this was a HUGE help for me.

Oh man I wish we would have known about this!! Thank you so much for the recommendation, we pressure washed it all off😅
