GREAT VIDEO!!! my buddy and I just changed the sensor on my 2010 Camaro SS, it was a pain in the a$$ but this video was very help, thanks again from Moreno Valley CA 2020
Great video, you helped me a ton explaining how to get the connector off. I just replaced the switch on my 2011 SS. One thing I did that made a HUGE difference was removing the torque bar that goes across the engine bay. It's only 3 #13 bolts on each side and can be removed in under 5 minutes. With that off I had a lot more room to get both hands in use. I'm 6'1" with big hands and before I removed the bar it was near impossible to get to the switch.
Did this job before and my one recommendation is before you try removing or putting tools back there is to stuff an old sheet or towel around the area just in case you lose your grip on things and they disappear down into never never land lol.
I have a 2014 chevy camaro v6 rs, just got a oil change yesterday, and before that I look at the dash and it read25%, now before I gotten a oil change my oil pressure was low, and telling me to shut the engine off, the next day I got a oil change I told them my problem and they said once the oil change is done, that the problem will be fix, but wasn't, still low oil pressure, could you please help me out?
I know this is a few years later.. you said you switched toa 1/4 inch drive from your 1/2 inch drive. did you mean 3/8ths drive? non of my 1/4 drives are that size. i'm about to do this myself.. waiting for the auto parts stores and harbor freight to open lol
The filter didnt come with my sensor, but I'm thinking to pull out the original filter and clean it then put it back in, should be fine. Anyone done that?
Do you remember if the lock clip was facing the intake or the chassi? I can release the plastic lock but I can’t reach the front of it to squeeze and unplug.
The clip faces the firewall at about 10 or 11 o'clock. Say if you were standing in the front of car. When tightened all the way. Take it slow . Took me 5 mins or so of tightening. You'll feel it get snugafter while. Lol
Hi just curious did you do yours? I think the filter would be ok if the oil changes were done on time. Or maybe pull the filter and clean it and stick it back in. I've just ordered a sensor for my 2010 2SS and it didn't come with a filter and getting parts here in New Zealand is a pain, so think I'll just clean the filter and reuse it.
I just subscribed to your channel and my issue is when I just drove the car it said oil pressure low turn off engine. I am not sure if it's just a sensor which is what I'm hoping or if it's the oil pump. It's a 2011 Camaro SS 6.2 and it only has a hundred thousand miles on it
Mine its facing an angle where i can t even reach the top clip off unless i turn it with but can t even think any tool that can fit there and turn it a bit
@@alexwilliams1687 yeah i cant grib the other size of the little white clip . I can only touch the right size with my finger nail but its not enough to pull it all together ...i practice with a sensor on that car that s similar...
Where is the clip he was talking about??? I was not able to renove for 3h then I quit. Why is he showing the wrong side of the connector? Or am I missing something ? If you guys have any pictures to share please do so :)
