When I was rebuilding the top end on the RMZ I noticed some weird wear in one of the exhaust valve buckets. so I talked to the techs I work with and they said it looked like the hardened coating was defective. I then bought 2 exhaust and 2 Intake buckets in case the rest of the valve buckets were from the same batch. Suzuki wasn't going to have them in stock for 4 weeks so I put the bike back together making sure that it was shimmed properly so I could break in the new piston. I finally got the parts in so I decided to make a time laps of the install (GoPro battery died before reassembly) but I took pics with my phone.
The new valve buckets went in with no trouble and I shimmed them to spec.
Exhaust clearance: 0.007"-0.009"
Intake clearance: 0.004"-0.006"
Exhaust bucket part # 12891-35F00
Intake bucket part # 12891-47H10
