Yeah I've felt that and it was a loose axle, bearings were fine.

Been doing this job for 50 years now. Two years ago when I did it last I went to put the axle through the wheel which was super sloppy. I forgot the darn spacer. It had rolled under something when I took it out and totally forgot about it. Sucks gettin old but I won’t ever make that mistake take again. Even though the bearings are sealed I still carefully remove the dust covers and really pack the bearings with BelRay waterproof grease. I then toss them in the freezer overnight and put them in the hubs the next day. Great video and glad to see your son involved.

Remember check the wheel is on right, take it off and put it back on first. I don't know why but I've had wobble and the wheel was just a little loose maybe from a crash.

Curious: you said sometimes you’ll take a wire wheel to the pinch bolts and then apply anti seize. Does the wire wheel remove the zinc plating and do you find that you need to address rust/corrosion issues as a result?

Is it pretty much the same thing for the rear? Mine needs it.

Apply a little heat to the hub with a small propane torch so it will release the bearing quicker with less smacking of the drift/punch and not distort the hub. Ask me how I know(a new hub later) 🤐
