Why arrest em, just make him sign up for a modern college level philosophy and critical thinking class, require a B or get fined. Then they at least will have to learn why there actions where wrong and how their mindset is harmful to society. Arresting people for such things usually doesn't improve them as a person, they just don't commit that particular crime again. Sometimes.

honestly, you shouldnt be allowed to make a report anonymously, if you are willing to make a report on a potential hazard, you need to face the consequences for being so blatantly wrong, if it was a misconception like: "oh sorry, I thought it was against regulation and it looks like its not, my bad!" then no big deal, thanks for the report and report if you see anything hazardous or dangerous in the future. But when it is a situation like this where the person who submitted it knows well and good that it is not a violation, you need to be held accountable for wasting the FAAs time.

This is a false report of a crime, which is a crime. If the FAA should track down this guy and fine him to the legal limit. Examples being made are the only way to stop the trolls.
