Welcome back to the couch and another plant video. This morning I did a moisture test on my new Monstera Deliciosa which I picked up from Facebook Marketplace recently. I wanted to let the plant acclimatize to my apartment for a few weeks before I repotted it but after doing a moisture test on the plant which I had watered five days ago I realized I had to repot it NOW! The soil that it was planted in was obviously retaining too much moisture and this would inevitably lead to root rot and kill the plant. So I bumped this video up my schedule and filmed it today. Hopefully this Monstera grows up nice and big.
The learning experience here is that if you buy and plant online and it needs a specific type of soil it would probably be a good idea to repot your new plant with the soil it needs sooner than later just to make sure you give your new plant the best possible chance of growing into the plant you want it to be.
