The United States Air Force as well as the Japanese Self-Defense Force participated in Rescue Flag Okinawa in the Ryukyu Island chain Oct 23 - 28, 2023. The exercise was held to strengthen the United states and Japanese partnership as well as giving the ability to demonstrate the unique rescue capabilities of the collaboration.
