I listen to this song every time . Perfect message that reminds of amazing love of Jesus. Though I fall short of His glory He still has a loving heart to forgive me and welcome me to his kingdom once more. Not forgetting the harmony is out of this world . it surely soothes ones rugged soul.
How sad that these old hymns of the faith have been discarded. The words of this beautiful hymn are a message of hope and a challenge to 'demonstrate our faith through action'.
+Anna Brown That's nice. Our Church only sings the old hymns when they've been updated with a more modern rhythm. I like them as they are but then I'm old. Thanks for caring
+Dave Stanton awww, that's sad. Maybe you should let them know that you want to sing the traditional ones. Maybe they don't know that people care about hymns.
Hear the harmony, listen to the message in song: all without rock and loud instruments. Just simple beautiful vocal chords. Let us stand and reclaim the old way marks in song, worship style, modest dress, and biblical sermons. No theatrics!
What a beautiful way to express God's desire that we bring others to him. Thanks for the wonderful presentation. There are still plenty of folks that appreciate conservative Christian music.
A powerful evangelism hymn! Let's all remember that soul while soul winning is a task to be handled, it's also an art to be mastered through the Holy Spirit in Jesus name!
Such rich old hymns! We sang this in church today, it’s something old hymn very grounded in theology in scriptures! It’s so sad church rarely sing old hymns
thank you for these hymns. I am a Seventh-day Adventist but we have been using your hymns to worship on our Sabbath home worship in the morning. inspired!
I must have listened to this a hundred times! It is wonderful--in words, music and presentation! Thank you so much! I'm sharing it with my little Bible study.
1.Rescue the perishing, care for the dying, snatch them in pity from sin and the grave; weep o'er the erring one, lift up the fallen, tell them of Jesus the mighty to save. Refrain: Rescue the perishing, care for the dying; Jesus is merciful, Jesus will save. 2.Though they are slighting Him, still He is waiting, waiting the penitent child to receive; plead with them earnestly, plead with them gently, He will forgive if they only believe. 3.Down in the human heart, crushed by the tempter, feelings lie buried that grace can restore; touched by a loving heart, wakened by kindness, chords that are broken will vibrate once more. 4.Rescue the perishing, duty demands it; Strength for thy labor the Lord will provide; back to the narrow way patiently win them, tell the poor wanderer a Savior has died.
How Blessed we are to have social media - we can access every hymn . Thanks to technology. I love this song - God knows how often l play it in a day. Lifts up my spirits . Thanks for this song
This is one of the best song ever. We were all perishing before JESUS did a miraculous work in our hearts and we accepted him as our personal savior. We need to be very patient with others praying for them daily (all people in including our enemies). Try to have the mind of CHIRST, and be wise as serpents and gentle as doves. In all things acknowledge him and he shall direct your path. Also pray for yourself to.have wisdom, but not wise in your own eyes. God’s strength, energy, understanding, love, hope and peace that surpasses anybody’s understanding. Love JESUS with all your heart mind and soul. #1 commandment #2 love your neighbor as you love yourself. Also love him with all your strength. Do your best and your best will get better love ❤❤l❤❤❤❤❤
I was brought up in a church that upheld the Anglican tradition but at Sunday school we used the Mirfield hymn book which had this hymn plus others like Count Your Blessings. We sang these in tandem with Anglican hymns . Was it William Booth of the Salvation Army who composed this? Haunting. Pity they are rarely sung now
AMEN. As stranger in the world, the jealous God is keen and passionate at effective mandate of soul winning as a duty, tasks that all our moves and actions must bring to making sure they're measureably progressive.
Jude 1 22. And of some have compassion, making a difference: 22. καὶ οὓς μὲν ⸀ἐλεᾶτε ⸂διακρινομένους, 22. 어떤 의심하는 자들을 긍휼히 여기라 23. And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh. 23.
The Bible tells in Romans that one shall not know unless someone tells. God calls all His true children to evangelize the world, first at home and also abroad according as He leads. Jesus will touch their hearts and prepare them, then use the Holy Spirit in true Christians to share the Good News.... then it's just a matter of prayer for the soul who heard to be saved, and if they will accept, He surely will save!!
