Funny, but I don't think they like it so much XD, do know beavers like to built dams and gnaw at things. So I think their walls are all gnawed on with few hundreds of dollars damage costs. If you want a beaver, do some research of their behaviour, XD

agreed, but i guess thats just locked somewhere in their DNA. we had a female labrador-bernese mountain dog mix called Luna and she used to hunt mice in a field by using the same tactic wolfs use, despite being grown up in the company of humans and never having to actually hunt for food. in case someone is wondering, dogs/wolfs dig up a mousehill a bit, then stick their nose down and breathe in, then take the nose out and breathing out. they are basically sucking out the air of the tunnels (as some tunnels are fairly large sometimes, this can take a while). when the oxygen level is then too low, the mouse comes out of the hole as it doesnt really have another choice.

It's called genetic memory. There are a lot of things humans also do instinctively that they don't need to be shown. Much as nobody needs to give animals the talk for them to figure out sex and procreation

It is "nice" but she shouldn't have allowed it to bond with her. I worked at an animal sanctuary and that's number one on their list of rules...minimal contact with the animals. With otters, they have to wear disguises so they don't recognize people.......

In Beaver land, it's the equivalent to a blood curdling battle cry and announcement to the enemy that this is to be their last day alive. Sounds cute to us because we cant hear in the ranges where they say the horrible parts.

@@jacobj6376 it isn't all natural to them and you need to give him positive reinforcement when he does it right,and when he does it wrong using the wrong materials you have to correct him,it's not like they're born knowing how to do these things, what we call "play" is very vital to a young animal's development because it's how they learn these things

He isn't domesticated, they're providing him with a home and a safe place until he's ready to go on his own. They're letting him use their home as his home until then. Who knows, maybe he'll stick around like some wild animals do after they're rescued.
