I can only suggest some research. I started by looking for the “special tool” needed for the reset. Then I looked into that tools manual to see how it was used and functioned then I just basically reduced it to something simple like the paper clip. I would guess that they changed the system or maybe the clip isn’t making good contact. Good luck. If you figure a new way out make a video it helps everyone.

I don’t know the answer to that. I could see how it would be nice to permanently disable it. I personally don’t mind the reminder, it helps me keep things serviced at regular intervals without writing things down

I think so but it’s best to look at a manual or call your local dealer.
