On the part where he gets the yellow thingy for the library he was so dang lucky, like I had mr.x, 3 lickers and 3 zombies, I was sweaty and died cuz there were to much enemies.

Lol lot of us just paid money and got all the infinite weapons then beat hardcore S+ with an infinite launcher. Tbh, i feel using those weapons should disable trophies, achievements

Think you can access the store in-game too. If you have xbox or if the game is on steam, they both too, should have it.

i played this without your speedrun and it takes me 11 hours to complete, then i follow your playthrough and it just takes me 2 hours to complete. thanks
The parts that I consider the most troublesome so far: - Dodging zombies near the beginning. (Or at any time really. They are so random) - Shooting the stupid dogs - The part with the G Adults before and after the Queen and King plugs. - G2
After having completed the S+ (with damage), I'd say that yes G2 and the G-Adults are tough but at least you save before them so it's quite manageable. The lab is a non issue. If there was no save before G3, I would have hated it so much but thanks to your strats I could get comfortable learning him and Super Tyrant and cruise to the end. Really I thought the beginning of the game was the most annoying. With the zombie dodging and all that stuff.

This was perfect!!! Using your strategies I was able to finish this in just over 2 hours! The added time was to make my run a bit safer by making a few detours for more ammo and healing items (my goal was just Hardcore S+) and it was glorious! Your explanations are by far the best, most reliable, and easiest to follow since many others rely too heavily on RNG (which as we all know is not reliable at all obviously). You just earned a new follower! Keep it up!
Hey, Carci, I don’t know if you know this, but, you can save time in the inventory screen by using square to combine items. Just press square to move the item over another that it can be combined with and press square again(and whatever is the “move” equivalent button on PC)and it’ll quickly combine them together, that way.
Thats a common sense he proably knows already buddy even i knew that because you takemore time clicking or pressing the combine option for guys that didnt know that thanked you im not insulting you its not pausing time for you just your beating time if you got the combining skills to console users square or what ever key on PC it is

I just managed to clear leon A on hardcore with an S+ rank. Took me quite a while but i finally made it. Im not a speedrunner or a good player, but i feel very satisfied and proud that i could do it. Now only claire´s campaign remain.
THANK YOU! I keep trying to find a guide that doesn't use the knife frame rate trick but I had no luck. So thank you! I can't wait till you do Claire's because I found her story MUCH easier mainly due to the stun lock of her grenades on the boss fights and Lickers that happen to get in your way. Edit: I beat it at 01:48:47 Infinite rocket launcher here I come.
Never got around to completing hardcore mode and after a year I was so rusty. Plus! We got spoiled by the dodging mechanic in RE3 recently. So didn't need to think twice about looking for your guide and though I received damage from Birkins your clear instructions got me the S+ ranking. Thank you, sir!

Thanks mate. Your video helped me BIG time in getting my S+. I made more than a few mistakes here and there and yet still managed to finished hardcore with 3 saves in 2:13:14. The moment I kicked G3’s sorry ass I knew it’s in the bag :) I made my 3rd save slightly too early as I did it as soon as I arrived the lab. This did come back and bite me in the end because I died a few times fighting G3.

It's not a huge deal, but I feel like as far as speedrunning there should be a separate category for PC and console. ( I'm sure at this point they already are separate) Obviously no one can touch a pc run on a console, due to the knife being much stronger (strong enough to wipe G1 out with little effort) I'm personally glad that you made a run in both categories. It helps me to build my own strategy for hardcore s+! I do have a question though for the tech savvy peeps out there. Do the higher tier consoles (ps4pro, xboneX) have a higher frame rate?
@@kanardy You can still use the knife very effectively during G1 and 3 at 60fps. For G1 I just bring more knives in case I get grabbed and maybe throw a flashbang/grenade to reset stun.

I've already beaten the game and gotten platinum thanks to you-- I was able to obtain it on ps4 even without your console specific walkthroughs, so I'm not sure why everyone was complaining so much lmao-- but I'll continue to watch your RE2 remake as they roll out. I am a little late for the party here, but I finally got my Platintrophy thanks to your vids, I learned a hella lot through them. For example I didnt know that certain weapons do a lot of dmg to certain enemies (Shotgun only good for dogs/zombies) but on other enemies it does less dmg . Played this game like a noob, and tried to kill every enemy in the worst way possible (like pumping too much ammo on single enemies). So again, thank you very much!

Thank you for this video. I just manage to achieve Leon 1st run Hardcore with S+ in my 2nd time in Hardcore Mode (and my 2nd playthrough too) today. I might get screwed up at some point of the game and have to struggle with G3 and Super Tyrant due to an unexpected circumstances which cost much of my ammo and grenade but in the end I manage to bring down G3 and Super Tyrant with a little help from handgun and knife. Without your video an S+ Hardcore might be only a dream for an inexperience player like me, Thank you.
As a console peasant, the scariest thing about Resi 2 has got to be knife exploits. Just seeing one sends me into a blackout frenzy where the only thing I can do is post online about my inability to use common sense.
Come on my man You dont need to hit X on an item, select combine, and then select the item to combine to. You can just hit square on an item and then square again on the item to combine to.

I had to save much earlier than his saves to retain my sanity. I literally just got S+ an hour ago with this vid. I saved right before G1, right before getting the king and queen plugs, and right before the Plant 42 room after you get the solution. I ended up having to dodge Mr. X and the Groots, beat G3, and beat the Super Tyrant all in one go because I was out of saves. I ended up having one more grenade than Carci at the end, so that made the Super Tyrant fight extremely easy and I beat it on my first try (died 20+ times to G3, though). Going through the game with the launcher is so satisfying. Making Mr. X drop to his knees every time I see him gives me great joy. Lmao.
@@zeropolicy7456 I literally just beat it on hardcore like 25 mins ago, for the most part I got everything in order, but that damn G3 killed me at least 15 times. Thought there was a second typewriter next to the tyrant platform and thought I was fucked when there wasnt. Had 1 less grenade than Carci too, so I had to dodge tyrant after the rocket launcher cutscene, pick it up, and shoot all in one motion. Fffffuck it felt good blowing everything up in my path with the infinite launcher
Working on this game. Doors zombies bust through you can run up against and take no damage when they bust through them, maybe a little quicker than letting zombies come through and dodging them. Your runs are amazing btw!
A great run as always Carci. As far as I’m concerned the best RE runner. It may seem trivial, but to combine items without needing to select combine, you should be able to hit square and that will select the item and then move the cursor to the item to combine it with. Same goes for moving items. This works with empty inventory spaces as well. Just a small optimization for speed running perhaps.
@@ddspk2007 Hard to say, 30-40 maybe, assuming every hit lands? I can also hit it reasonably well. Less if I shoot him 2-3 times with the shotgun and one grenade.
i know the video is old, but i got both resident evil 2 and 3 on the new years psn sales. and i gotta say thank you carci i was able to finish under 2 hours and got the weapons now just gotta do claire and then i'am gonna get my revenge against mister x.
Thanks for this I was able to get my own no damage run done because of this. Hilariously I accidentally ran after using the signal modulator in the 2 licker hallway and by pure luck managed to dodge both lickers twice as I ran down the hallway to the cold room.
