The actress was Catherine Disher, she is the best Jill voice actress everrrrr, i don’t like the new ones… RE3 original Jill is not a TikTok inspired character 😂❤
I miss when Jill was the calm and analytical of the protagonists while Claire was the one with biting sass and sarcastic quips Capcom fucked their characters up
@@HarranSoFarAwayShort-term sales were prioritised over making a game that people would buy again and again in future on countless consoles. If they’d waited and given it the time and resources it needed, perhaps they were worried that people would cancel their pre-orders and just move on 🤷🏻♂️. Either way I think they realised they f**ked up because they’ve been tripping over themselves trying to make RE4 remake a good game
@@BerryNiceToMeetYou As a DLC for 2 priced at 10 bucks like Assignment Ada i MAYBE would've been a lot more lenient, but god damn asking 50 bucks for a shittier version of a PS1 legend of a game should be considered a crime.
@@MICHAELTUMANGDAY I don't think that nemesis is that heavy, otherwise he would destroy the bridge the moment he jumped on it. Nemesis must be around 200kg or something like that judging by his size
I always choose this option for the sole reason of seeing Nicholai get His comeuppance at the hands of Nemesis, only problem I have with that ending though is not seeing Jill get rescued by Barry "Badass" Burton Lol
The choose your own adventure element of 1999's RE3 is sadly missing in newer titles. Yes, they eventually all got you to the same end point (fighting Nemesis as the nuke closes in), but it made the game so much more replayable.
The cheap bastards making the decisions behind the remake didn’t want to spend money on producing alternative cutscenes because that’s too expensive, which proves that the games industry has gone backwards in terms of capabilities, not forwards. When production costs more, game’s manufacturers will only spend the bare minimum to guarantee a return on their investment. That’s why RE3 was so lacklustre. They knew they had all these pre-orders because of the success of the RE2 Remake, so figured they shouldn’t spend money making a good game. They’re idiots though because if they’d spent that money to faithfully recreate the original, they would guarantee immeasurably huge legacy sales in the future by porting it to countless consoles. That’s how the original RE4 made so much money. People bought it again and again and again
Some people dont realize live selection actually has 3 different options. The third is always do nothing. Something else does happen when you dont choose to do anything. For instance, in the resturaunt you are forced to fight Nemesis inside with Carlos. For the Clock Tower, you have to fight him on the balcony you would normally knock him off of or electrocute him. On the bridge, Nemesis will whip you off with his tentacles, leaving you in red danger state. Ive never tested many of the others but Id guess theres more.
You are right- i remember when i was a kid and don´t understand a single word of english. When the Live choices appear i didn´t know what they mean and don´t choice nothing, this result in a scary fight vs Nemesis. Ill never forget a fight on the train when you have to defeat him 2 times and the fight on the balcony, i electrocute him and feel to relaxed the fight ends. If i lose one of the fight i have to re-start from 0% and maybe never end the game. Because sometimes i forget to Save. Hahaha great old memories. I played it in 2014-15.
I think outside the police station he still just attacks you if you do nothing🤔. I can’t imagine any other option when it comes to Nemmy. A calm conversation and a cup of tea is just out of the question. If Capcom would port this game to next Gen then I could play it and test all these out 😩😩. They did it with RE1 and I turned that game inside out and back to front because it’s such a joy to play (until you realise the howling of wolves outside the mansion is like a 10 second looped sound byte)
@@CursedWheelieBin with a GameShark on PS1 I played around accessing areas you weren't supposed to. Some parts of the game soft lock (for instance, you can't access the code door in the one hallway until after you access the area before the guard house. Otherwise it will soft lock. The directors cut scene where you see Rebecca with Richard is in the original game, but it's not properly programmed and dialogue gets cut or choppy.
But Paddy you’re forgetting it’s so shiny shiny shiny, and Jill says naughty words and she’s so stunning and brave. That instantly makes it so much betterer 🤤. Edit: If anybody doesn’t believe Jill’s tough and brave or whatever, other characters in the remake will check in to remind us of that in every cutscene
It is amazing how so many alternative scenes are packed into a single CD-ROM. Honestly, I do not know how Capcom isn't ashamed about not having all these scenes within RE3R. Since media capacity of games isn't a issue anymore, I can only conclude that the only logic reason is sloth~
I dont think its about capacity. It was just a choice. RE3R its a lot more cohesive as a story. In the original you go to the park and then the factory just because. There's no reason to go there story wise. Even in the novel, they had to make something up about looking for a radio or a helicopter. In the game you go there because that's the path not blocked by textures.
@@kleinkaufman8940 Yes, the reason was a choice; a slothful choice. Capcom could have used RE3R's park & factory locations to expand story of the original RE3, just like RE4R did with it's game design. However, since Capcom chose to make RE3R shorter in game-play duration, by default they restricted the amount of story that could be told within the game, itself. That is why I am so harsh when criticizing Capcom on RE3R's game production; they had all the resources in the world to make RE3R superior to RE3 and yet they failed to use it properly due to how lazily they chose to design the story-line scenarios of the RE3R game.
@@rossdavis428to each its own. I think the game was great and superior to the original in many aspects. I dont see any sign of sloth in it, shorter doesn't mean bad. For starters, these extra scenes don't really add anything to the story in general other than cheap replay value.
@@kleinkaufman8940 You can make that claim and believe it if you want to, but then I do not think that you understand the value that the extra scenes of RE3 provide. I think that every scene that was made in RE3 was placed in the game in order to show the audience a very specific characteristic of the game's cast and RE3R changed those characteristics for the worse. For example, in RE3R Jill Valentine acts incredibly hostile towards Carlos Oliveria for no reason logical reason in almost all of the initial interactions that they have with each other, even after Carlos saves Jill's life from Nemesis in the beginning of the game. Unlike in RE3, Jill is only suspicious of Carlos due to his supposed alliance with Umbrella, but she never verbally insults him nor does she belittle him after he proves that he is trustworthy like she does in RE3R. Thus, RE3R portrays Jill as a bad person while RE3 portrays Jill as good person by that criteria. So, honestly, that is why I do not know how you can enjoy RE3R's story-line in comparison to RE3's story-line, but that is your freedom of preference to do so~
@@rossdavis428Re3R focuses on her trauma and PTSD in the beginning, seeing an Umbrella employee with guns and she is supposed to trust him immediately? Even after she was betrayed by her boss and the director of the police station she works for ? Also she starts trusting him just a few interactions after, considering she follows him to the subway. Re3R made her human not a bad person, she is just a B action movie character in the original. What you mention is not a bad thing about the game, its just a different way to approach a character. What's more, these extra scenes do not add to the characters, they just make the game longer. Every single one of them is pretty much the same dialogues place in a different order or in a different location.
I like how, in the original, they left Nicolias fate ambiguous. Their were always little hints towards him still being possibly alive in the original canon. They did away with that in the remake, which pissed many off. That and no Barry was a massive let down too
Technically Nicholai only survives in one of the two endings, and that's if you don't take the very satisfying option of shooting him yourself with a rocket launcher in that route. Nemesis just straight up kills him in the other route.
Yeah the required path to get it is just too small chance of happening. Like i would just go down stairs immediately, why return to from where i came from...
Not only that, those alternate scenes will cause extra scenes after the Nemesis fight. Jill would or wouldn't know about the Chopper that is coming for her.
My fav game of all time!! The idea of this derelict factory, on the outskirts of town, being used for such slimey and shady stuff...it creeps me out, man...and the added backstory of teenagers sneaking onto the property and either being shot or used as live test subjects ayyyyyyyyyyy .. I can't believe they omitted this from the remake in lieu of another generic Umbrella underground lab wtf? AND the clock tower/park/grave digger?!
I could go on all day about how much I despise the remake. An underground lab in 1998 that looks like a Tesla factory😂. Oh and it’s under the hospital now because we need to get this game finished ASAP. 😂Chronologically Jill was in a lab under the mansion just a few months ago that looked very basic. Damp, rotten, dilapidated, and dripping with atmosphere because the fixed camera angles reveal to us what’s happened down there. Remember when survival horror was actually effective? I suspect the RE3 lab design is to ensure today’s drooling idiots feel more comfortable around imagery that they recognise. Dummies scare easily by their brains being challenged. “Ewwww this looks so old. Lemme go play Fortnite with it’s a pretty pretty colours, or something else that turns my brain into mush” 🧠 Capcom - port the original and fans of the original will still pay you for what was a good product.
My favorite RE of the first trilogy. Why did they fail so badly in the remake. I mean, I actually liked the remake as a game on its own, but as a remake it definitely didn't do justice to the original.
Ehhh. It has always been about money. That's why they have a job in the first place. Better said, when developers focused more on the quality of the game as a whole instead of just focusing on the most flashy and advanced graphics while ignoring everything else. Also, this causes the games to increase their development costs, and thus, they have to cut corners from here and there, to have the bEsT graphics of the age.
not really, it's either money OR fame, you have to pick one and I said the former is more appealing to everyone but CEO alway choose the latter for some reason
Well at this point Nicholai's fate is pretty much ambiguous, He never shows up again in the series anyway, so it doesn't make that much of a difference if He dies
I’m still angry how the Resident Evil 3 Remake turned out to be an absolute disappointment and one of the worst video game remakes… Resident Evil 3 Nemesis (Original) will always be a masterpiece
I remember renting this when it came out, i had NO idea there was any alternative routes at the time.. now i see why ppl didn't like the remake, no diss to Capcom for tryin to remake it, but damn i had NO idea how much this one is layered
Too bad the remake doesn't have similar events. The lack of dlc & the shortest of the game really rubbed me the wrong way. The remake is fun but i wanted more
Amazing, I played this game for years over and over and over again and taking a different option in every scenario, I had no idea about the cutscene if you left the room and came back again. This is also what procs the music that will play, it has some variants
Pushing nemesis off the bridge is kind of hilarious. And for the other side... I ❤ the OG Resident Evil 3. To be honest I never actually got into the old games back when they came out, well... I'm talking about back in 2001, when I was 7 years old. The reasons were... I was very young, they scared me too much and I couldn't get used to the tank controls.
You probably won't see this, but I just want to say THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR CONTENT. I have been playing RE 3 nemesis almost 1 year from now, and every single day, I find a new secret about this game thanks to you and even during my own plays I find new thinks I never notice, the game must be just 5-6 hours long but it's just ridiculous how much content there is on it that its need at least 25 hours just to see everything, and even with that you still can miss somethings.
I think I saw once an alternate cutscene during the Barry ending, with Carlos gloriously jumping towards the chopper. I've never figured out how to get it
After you let Nikolai fly or beat the helicopter, Carlos will enter the room and try to use the computer. After that DON'T try to get to the basement, just come back and exit the room and enter again, after that Carlos will say something and run off, then the countdown will begin, just finish the game normally and Carlos will do the
Nicholai's line "You can either accept death with dignity or die with regret" it's what truly settled me to hate him so much so I'll say that the only positive thing the remake did is that, ironically, at the end, he's the one on the floor bargaining for his life and unwilling to accept his death with dignity and instead dies with the regret of not killing Jill sooner. Interdimensional karma.
S If they ask why they weren't implemented in the remake, it's so much because of how their format was going to be (probably a dlc) and it would have problems with lore given the possible variables
I was playing this game some time back. I was on the lake area? Then suddenly some frog with blades for legs started jumping out of the water. I got startled didn't get to heal and Jill died. Then I remembered I never saved the game for a few hours and just raged quit. It still pisses me off to this day.
Can you please do a video on the events that change and happen in game like the suvivors that get killed on the streets, the girl who screams and then you see her dead body, the Dario Rosso event and the survivor that died and then turn into zombies 🧟♂️ please that would be an awesome video with easter eggs on this game 🙏
I have replayed it with the Seamless HD mod and still holds up to the original. It's a masterpiece, what Crapcom did the reimagination version is insulting. Even the last movie. Fucking disgrace
i had no idea they were alternative... even now this game is very good time killer, i just cant play this remake 2-3, generic, boring, souless , stupid? Classics are always in my heart
Still pissed at the remake, I only got to experience the original from a demo that came with Dino Crisis. Why doesn’t the ps store sell the originals? They’d make money 🙄
RE2 remake is great but RE3 remake is lacking original RE3 got more contents than the remake. also i dont get why she get some ptsd in RE3 remake after all her background dont seems to be damsel in distressed. and in original RE3 Nicoline death is more satisfying
