Resident Evil 3's Platinum Trophy is TERRIFYING...LY FUN!!!

​@platinumgamerscore I can say this as a lifelong fan of the games. Its far from as good as the original. Its still a great game and very beautiful on modern consoles but it wasnt worth the full price they wanted for it considering the RE2 remake was the same price at launch and had like triple the content.

Yeah I agree with you there. RE3 should have been a $29-$39 game at launch

If it had Jill go through the RPD and didn't cut the Clock Tower I think it would have been on par with REmake 2. Have to keep Carlos going to the RPD as well though.

Roger. Tracking hooah. I've beat every RE i've played on the hardest difficulty without infinite ammo so i think i'll be fine.

I kinds noticed that a bit towards the end because it starts before the city is overrun and ends when it blows up. Plus Jill spends half the game in a coma lol

I didn't think RE2 was that hard even without the infinite rocket launcher it didn't feel too strenuous. I'd say it's probably the 2nd hardest of the remakes though. Especially since RE3 is basically the easiest if you play the ps5 version

Lol I try to jam a lot of references into my scripts. You're the first person that noticed that one.

If you play on the ps5 you can have 4 of each of the coins and you heal almost instantly

Glad I could help out. Holdimg that many coins makes it nearly impossible to die and makes the inferno playthrough insanely easy.

@@platinumgamerscore I just managed to s rank inferno in 1:07 with only 4 saves. Had about 20 deaths though because of how fast nemesis is in inferno 😂😂😂 he kept kicking my ass. Now the only trophy I have left is the one for beating the game without using the item box

Hell yeah fam. Congrats. The no item box run on Assisted difficulty is a cake walk.

@@platinumgamerscore ended up earning the platinum for both the PS4 and PS5 versions thanks to your tip about the coins. My dumb ass didn't know you could save transfer though so I spent 11 hours on the ps5 version when I could have just auto popped all the trophies 😂😂😂

It's automatically unlocked from the beginning of the game if you download the free ps5 upgrade for the game

Otherwise you just have to buy it with a bunch of the Challenge points you unlock throughout the game.

It was lol. Both of the games give you all the unlockables if you get the free ps5 upgrade using the ps4 disc.

Yeah I agree with that. I think they rushed to launch it so fast after RE2R and that's why it lacked a lot of things. They definitely learned there lesson and improved the process for RE4R.

I do not consider this game to be barebones at all, I personally think it’s a great game, and I for one don’t care much about the removed content from the original because I never played the original RE1-3 I’ve only played the remakes, RE5, RE6 and the newer Resident Evil titles, so I don’t have that same attachment to the original versions of these games, which is why I love RE3R so much, it’s a fun game for me and it’s shorter than most RE titles which is also something I like because I enjoy short and concise stories in video games. I’ve beaten this game like 6 or 7 times now and I never get tired of playing it regardless of the cut content and short ish story, in my own personal opinion it is a great game and one of my favorites as well as one of the best Resident Evil games for me personally.

Yeah nemmy was pretty tough on inferno. I had the rocket launcher which made it much easier but for awhile there it was useless lol

I used to do my videos in that manner with a short recap or skipping the story entirely and the videos just didn't do well. Yeah they must have there stalagmites crossed with their stalagtites or something over there cus the numbers are definitely wonky.

PS5 shows yours trophy progress so you don’t have to guess as to how much percentage you’ve achieved so far. Since it’s the first trophy your progress is at %1

That's nifty. I never actually look at the little trophies hotbar option.

I didn't buy the dlc. I said I bought the deluxe edition of the game but that was incorrect. The PS5 upgrade for it gives you everything at the start.

IKR. I guess if you unlock too many trophies at once on the ps5 it just pops the first one and the last one. It's kind of a bummer too because I was looking forward to the satisfaction of watching all 8 of em pop one after the other.

I'm not sure what series I'll do after Resident Evil but I'd love to snag until Dawn at some point

Congrats fam. I found RE2 to be pretty enjoyable. It's in the top half of my faves in the series that I have platinumed so far.

Yep pretty much. I will I got the plat for RE3 in like 10 hours. If you play on the ps5 edition you can have 4 defense coins, 4 recovery coins, & the infinite rocket launcher at the beginning of inferno and it makes it almost impossible to die. Makes inferno a cake walk.

I had played through the ps4 version before but I just downloaded the whole package from the psn store when I got the free ps5 upgrade and everything was in the item box.

Nope sure didn't. Comes stock with the ps5 version of the game which includes all th perks. I know it does because multiple people have hit me up and we've talked about it.

Are you playing it legit no Infinite rocket launcher? Also how many defense and health regen coins do you have equipped?

​@platinumgamerscore i have them all on me and I do have the launcher my dodges are what is getting me as half of them don't work when I press dodge

Yeah that can be an issue for sure. I would suggest just doing 1 or 2 valves and then spamming nemesis with rockets until he lays back down. Just repeat the process over and over

@platinumgamerscore I've been doing that but it's like I'm pressing doge at the right time sometimes it works other times she barley moves

The dodge mwchanic is a little finicky. I just tried to avoid the dodge mechanic altogether if at all possible. If you play it enough you can learn the timing and not have to dodge at all, as long as you have the infinite rocket launcher and the 4 health regen coins.

Yup you're right if you use the infinite rocket launcher and whatnot it only takes about 10 hours
