This is still my favorite res game. I understand that it has been improved on with later titles but 5 will always be the game I come back to for consistent fun.
@@grahamkelly8662 I own the ps3, ps4 and recently switch version of resident evil 5. In all honesty I don't understand folks who say the AI partner is bad. I've hardly ever noticed the partner getting in the way or causing problems. In fact the partner is quick on saving a person when downed. I have only played the gold edition versions. So maybe the AI was a problem in the base game but I don't see it on updated versions. You have a partner throughout the whole game. If you buy the gold version you will also get the 2 dlc chapters, which is a lot of fun too.
Rick Zel yes but it was literally the parts we hated from RE4 and RE5 i didn’t even finish that game! Feels generic too faced paced and without and RE identity it’s try’s to do too much!
It's been a very long time since I last played a Resident Evil game. The PS3 version of RE6 when it came out. That was roughly 10 years ago! I've owned a Switch Lite since January 2021 and it's only recently I felt the desire to play Resident Evil games again. I purchased Resident Evil 5 the other day as I remember thoroughly enjoying playing it. It's an excellent conversion and has been performing flawlessly so far. I wasn't surprised on finding out Resident Evil 5 is the best selling Resident Evil iteration with 13.4 million copies sold. 😊
I've spent on both games about the same amount of times, if not slightly more cause I love em so much. RE5 was my first RE, then I got into 6 and really fell in love with the characters, lore, etc. Bought it on PS3, PC, PS4, and Xbox One. I'm somewhat tempted for a portable version but not at the asking price. Will wait for a juicy sale since I'm OK having RE across my Xbox and Switch.
Perfect review thank you! I enjoyed 5 on the 360, a good game but far from great. Not worth another purchase for my poor arse. Holding out for 7, it was released stream only in Japan in 2017 IIRC, fingers crossed Capcom don't screw it up.
So wish more reviewers talk about how the performance is is splitscreen co op. With this game being co op focused (and neither me or my friends have switch online and refuse to get it), stalking about split screen is extremely important to this game. Overlooking it is an extreme oversight Though (and I know it's going to make this comment age terribly) now is probably fine with people quarintining themselves from the coronoavirus. Isn't 2020 starting off great?
