This game was really fun when I played it. Glad there are videos showcasing how fun it was. Finally, we who enjoyed the game have a space we can speak and not be crucified for liking it. Definitely doesn't beat other iconic installments, but still good
Capcom can still make these characters (Both Spec Ops and Wolf Pack) into something great. Sure, their story only goes around Raccoon City, but I can see many of them in any future RE games. New story line would be them combating what's left of any Umbrella Facility and both squads running into each other.
I did read someone say they wanted this game remastered. I bet if Capcom made it look as good as the Resident Evil 2 remake everyone would love it. But they should add another campaign adding six Police Officers.
@@XellosMetallium It was fun if they would of fixs some bugs, and polish it would of been great. The story was good not the best but good none the less.
I love that there is hardly no negativity in the thread of these comments. Its heaven. This game is truly underrated, sure we are all in agreement with more polish and a sleek finish. But i am grateful to have played this game. It was granted, not the best installment, but one of the greats. Power and peace to not only Capcom but to the fans as well.
To be fair, she's not in her uniform there. Actually, she's not even part of STARS anymore at that point since she chris and the rest of the team were laughed out of the precinct for telling everyone zombies were coming. She looks far more like a rescue soldier in her uniform.
This wasn’t necessarily a bad game as many people made it out to be. Sure, there were some gameplay mechanics that lacked polish and were outright broken but I still found the gameplay enjoyable. The infected feature was pretty awesome, I still want it to be featured in main RE installments. While this game isn’t a gem by all means, it sure is a good underrated game.
Ben Fetter definitely. The multiplayer is a blast to play, especially heroes mode. The infected feature made you extra cautious when it came to CQC and the unique executions you can do against zombies or humans was also pretty awesome.
Lots of critics indeed -- but it still ended up selling well lol. And I'm glad about it! Cause I fucking LOVE the team based gameplay! Graphics are awesome too! R6 is my favorite, then R5 and then this one ORC = )
Nowadays people barely make their own opinions, just repeat what others with supposed authority or knowledge say. The vast majority of those who say that this game is bad have not even played it, they have only seen videos at the best of times. Its not perfect, yes, but is fun. I think the forced unnecesary links into te main history are the worst thing about this game, but not for that is a bad game.
I actually find it a very possible scenario, sending USS as a backup because Umbrella wasn't dumb and also sending Echo Six to ensure nothing can be done before launching a nuke. Who else agrees?
I agree. I think that people probably feel overloaded and overwhelmed with RE at this point. But....its always interesting to see new or different characters interacting with Racoon City or the fallout of afterwards. The same people however likeable or unlikable gets old after a while. A fresh new take and spin is always welcomed in the Resident Evil Franchise. This is my opinion. Thanks for reading.
@@iamyou2b307 Yup. I've replayed the game after 6-7 years, to see if I could come up with a better opinion: unfortunately it's still sloppy, Story Line is interesting but badly made, and your Team Mates's AI is as shit as ever. If we mix this with the fact every damn enemy seems to be gunning at you alone and the controls are not precise and a bit confused with a controller, then I hope Capcom forgets about this game forever (they probably did already). Yeah, maybe the Wolfpack characters are interesting, unlike the boring guys with 0 personality from Echo-Six, but that's it. I can't understand why some people love this game, my guess is that they never played Gears of War in their lives, otherwise they'd be worshipping a great TPS, not this mediocre game with a few interesting but badly developed ideas. P.S. The part where Party Girl or Tweed kill that Licker as if they knew what a licker was and which moves it had, is the biggest BS they could have shown us. Lickers were still unknown to Echo-Six, and that Licker should have shredded through her. X)
this game had so much potential. it might have had poor optimization and bad controls on pc, but the fact that capcom used tons of bow's from the original resident evil lore is amazing
This was an awesome game loved it the graphics were great an the game play was bad ass also I enjoyed traveling through raccoon city also the zombie action was none stop zombies busting out of buildings an everything I loved it totally I'd love to see it on the now or future game console's I think this game deserves it
He said, "I procured this interactive media release once in time's past. The bespoke individual data stream I have never once affixed my gaze upon. I consider it quite pleasant, however." He basically forgot the 'N' in Never.
I could stand to see this game remastered, just no weirdness like randomly changing bits of characters for no reason (lets keep our RE babes hot and our RE fellas badass.)
If this had both spec ops and umbrella security service in mercenaries mode as the main Campaign with separate story lines and get cut scenes from both sides 2 and 4 co-op cooperative mode OFF Line to allow other players to sign in to play on ps3 or Xbox 360 account join the forces and wish it had save room type writer to save any players progressed after saving sign out and do something else for while and join back in that makes more sense if Capcom just quit ruining and rushing out a new Resident Evil games of the future wish this game just get remastered but not call of duty styles that ain't horror games. This operation raccoon City would just about umbrella instead the outbreak crisis from resident evil 2 and 3 without cutting out half of raccoon City and turn in to a creative game from resident evil 2002 can play from resident evil 2 and the other can be re3 Apocalypse U.B.C.S and U.S.S with main characters. I could create a Umbrella solder mercenaries mode to do training and pick my outfit gear and design a gas mask or biohazard mask give it code names a real middle and last name similar to wwe create names list. When I pick put my own weapons and 4 inventory items from umbrella Base after I create 3 A.i teammates and give them abilities and weapons for training and ear3 credit points to buy and unlock everything if we choose skip training and start the main mission campaign operation biohazard mode. Make this a newer Capcom remake Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City With OFF Line 2 3 and 4 cooperative to let the players join in it makes the action more interesting getting through tougher levels when player one choose a diffculty settings beginner professional or recruit. Let any players pick out opinions to go from any where and free roaming to without giving this time limits and in single player give command opinions to your teammates and save survivor's and also trick them and throw few of them at horde of zombies when u get closer to safe room hideout after beating the game bring infinite ammo for all guns for single and 4 players cooperative mode.
damn shame we never got a sequel to this game for both echo-six and the wolfpack because re fans back then were to stupid to tell this was a great game
It was more Echo teams and more umbrella detachments in the city, a lot of militias going at it and killing zombies at the same time, they really need to make an open world RE game just like the division and go from there, put them all in raccoon city and let them go at it on a larger scale in the city cause I want to wonder around raccoon city with my team doing our own investigation before the city goes up
Tweed was my favorite character in Echo 6. Beltway for USS. Followed by Harley and Bertha. Riot Gun and Samurai Edge/Handgun HP all day long. Occasionally using a rifle when absolutely necessary. Love this game. What was you character and loadout?
Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City is awesome and better than garbage remake resident evil 3 . oFF Line single player mode campaign is great 👍. Capcom remake Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City for all consoles PS4 and Xbox one and Xbox series and PS5 with co-op Multiplayer cooperative campaign mode to be playable oFF Line and create our own Mercenaries and survivor's with online multiplayer modes.
But way too expensive! 20 bucks as a whole for all 6 missions excluding the first mission which was given to us for free. But I still paid for em and was worth every cents!
I think this game needed to be considered as part of the Resident Evil canon story. Maybe create another squad based shooter with the BSAA vs. random militant groups across the timeline.
It's like Kingdom Hearts. You keep meeting these named characters with their personalities whittled down to a single dimension, and they're still somehow doing what they were doing during the games they did them, yet there you are established timeline be damned.
They to need make another resident evil game like this. It was so much fun lots of action and the best part it was a multi player platform game.. hope they remaster this or make it even better then what it was
I'd like a moment to point out here that the spec ops team for the u.s. government they don't board the helicopter on the orders of the government but they never get on another helicopter because the city's nuked and they die with the city
I really should have played these back in the day. Also they should have made umbrella-side versus DLC. Imagine vector facing off against hunk during the tyrant transport to the island code veronica took place on, or Lupo and Four Eyes saving claire from those security guards in France whilst Spectre and Beltway try to stop them and eliminate claire.
now that Resident Evil 2 remake was upcoming, i think we really need this on Ps4/Xbox 1 to complete our Resident Evil game collection. it really needs to be remaster and put all DLC's into it.
@@phillippurbanski5020 Well, consdering they had a chance to remake outbreak, and instead are making project resistence, I'm starting to think capcom HATES outbreak, and is never going to port or remake it for us.
@@metalnat27 well the game itself isn’t canon because of the fact that Leon, Clair and Ada never had to deal with the USS in RE2 (even though logically ORC actually makes more sense that umbrella would send the USS to ensure no one could find anything to link the tragedy to them). Honestly tho every mission up until the RPD mission could’ve easily been canon to the main series because before RE2 remake there was nothing that said that alpha team was the only ones sent in to get the G virus
Proof the rocket launcher kicks the rail gun's ass yet again... Rail cannon turns T- 103 into Super Tyrants making your life much difficult. R. Launcher 1 shots T- 103. And T- 102.
rlly want to play this without having to buy old console, i found in ovgames i wish this works because the game uses the since 2016 defunct GFWL as well as region locked in steam Story feels like a self-insert fanfiction i used to love to wrote when i was in my twenties (back when this game was new and i was poor) but it's executed really well.
Capcom just got a COD game, slapped the name "Resident Evil" on it. What's worse lots of COD kids think this is how Resident Evil should be: a fps shooter with no survival horror, which made Resident Evil great.
In my opinion this game is good but I understand why it’s not generally liked by critics. 1.the story is not great it’s just mission mission but I liked it a bit it was straight forward. 2.the zombies don’t feel like you’re shooting them it feels like each shot hits nothing no satisfaction. 3.game worried people it retconned the older games. 4.the enemies aren’t fun to fight not even the bosses mostly the worst enemy was the god damn hunter bullet sponge lunge attack’s that we’re un dodge-able. 5. The best gun is the one with 100 bullets more bullets equal victory with weapons not being able to be fun to use differently. 6.characters are not like-able unless they’re hot. Multiplayer was good but left more wanted. 7.hunk was taken off to soon in the story. 8.zombies are easy to kill and not scary. 9.its not resident evil. But thats why cap on has a chance to undo it and make things right by remaking this game and resident evil 5 and 6 fix what was broken and make something special This game should be remade but have horror often have the option of running more than stay and fight do Evac missions in the story branch out give zombies the strength they had In re2 remake make them hard to kill but easy to trick shoot the legs off and run past em if theres a horde run don’t fight do these things right you could earn game of the year. Another add on if capcom somehow sees this comment less action more quiet times.
I'd prefer they not touch RE 5 and 6, what happens in those games just makes sense based on everything that happens in the games before them. Leon, Chris, all of the characters who have survived for that long SHOULD basically be super hero badasses by that point, thus the games they star in SHOULD be action games. I'd much prefer they just make RE 8 and make the main character someone who hasn't actually had to deal with anything like that yet, then it could be survival horror again without having to retcon 5 and 6. Kind of like how they did with ethan in 7 but maybe give him or her a bit more personality. (Although, I'm not entirely convinced Ethan wasn't actually an umbrella scientist based on a few notes from 5)
@@surandissidus3243 I do like co-op in RE games, but it has to be a specific RE game. RE2 Remake for example doesn't need something like that. But another game like 4, 5, or 6 definitely would.
So when the Spec Ops were fighting Tyrants it reminds me the room where Jill fights the mutated Nemesis at the end of RE 3 full of Tyrants and spec ops bodies :) I know Re : ORC is not canon but hey it's a nice call back anyway
Bruh why did they not make the ending more an connection between Umbrella corps and Specops where u were such on umbrella corps campaign and u choose defend leon and when spec ops comes, there are there to aim their guns at those who Umbrella corp delta squad helps leon back there to defend and then boom Echo 6=2 delta squad traitors + 4 spec ops.
the concept is actually pretty cool when it comes out, but seriously, they need to nerf the power of characters and buff the zombies, and reWork the whole game design, mainly mechanics, make us be very Very afraid of One Single zombies even when we have a weapon on hand.
How do I get to play this campaign? I'm currently playing the Umbrella delta team campaign. When I first got the game, that was the story mode I had to start out with. Is this campaign one I have to unlock by beating the umbrella delta teams campaign first?
