Resonant Noise 

Finally someone upload this lovely sound. I've used these techniques to make interesting chilling tones. I hope more people use this nostalgic sound. It reminds an old church in the village in Korea where my grandparents are living. The church plays a random old gospel melody to that small town through 70s old speaker on Sunday.

You can get the same effect running noise through any filter that has key tracking (like the ones in serum/vital), saves you having to resample and can then work with internal effects. Great video tho

This is a very interesting process and I am fond of the possibilities that noise, as a sound source can yield but to the ears of a user like me who remembers tape hiss, generation loss on overdubbing, low headroom distortion, faulty patch cable snaps crackles and pops, the kind of distorted tails you created, particularly those from erosion, are not attractive at all, though I can see that those which are bounced around with delay and then tightly clipped with envelope controls could be useful.

I did something similar to this but a little noisier for a track i made. It was meant to replicate the Dreamcast intro's sound. What I did was move the filter's frequency depending on the note that was played using key tracking and it was a pretty cool sound.
