Hi.... Excellent job.... in june I get a problems with my Hi ace 95' transmission, the gears of 3th was broken, and has to reconstruct totally. My work do'nt look so nicely like yours, but my vans is on the road again. Thank for share your video.... is an inspiration for those who take in our own hand that types of work...

Using a metal hammer on the bearing journal to knock out a locking ball??? Not lapping the synchronizer to the cone??? Not even bothering to clean off the bit of gasket material on the sprocket??? With all due respect of the hard work put in, it is the careless attitude to such fine details that will affect service life after the rebuild.

If the gearbox is in good condition, pls don't dismantle it, just clean the grease or oil outside and change the fluid if necessary.

I don’t understand why mechanics don’t like to use power tools. There are power tools available in any size of any style with precise torque. It’s much faster, easier and more efficient. It saves time and labor. Can any mechanic explain that? By the way good job at restoration.

Сделал все красиво. НО! Слишком много герметика, слишком большой слой. Излишки герметика выходят не только наружу, но и внутрь коробки. Эти излишки со временем отрываются и попадают в рабочее пространство между шестернями, роликами подшипников и забивают масленые каналы (детали остаются без смазки). Наноси тонкий равномерный слой, чтобы при сборке на стыках была тонкая, РАВНОМЕРНАЯ по всей длине линия герметика, например в толщину рыболовной лески. А так, все круто!
